I didn't see it but someone on Paul's site's message board said the guy identified Jane Asher as Linda! Terrible.

Beat the Geeks - Beatle Geek?
Did anyone else see this weeks Beat the Geeks on the Comedy Channel? They had a (so-called) Beatles Geek - he was terrible!!
My friend, who is more of a country music fan, was answering the questions better than he was. How bad was this guy? The question was "in what German city did the Beatles play in 1960" and this so-called Beatles Geek said Munich. Hel-lo! Even my friend knew it was HAMBURG! Ugh! I'm glad he was only a guest Geek.

Re: Beat the Geeks - Beatle Geek?
I was wondering if I was the only one who saw it. What is even most amazing is that at the beginning he said he knew "I Want to Hold Your Hand" and "She Loves You" in English and German and he didn't know the city they apprenticed? Even a novice reading a short Beatle bio would have known that. That could be understood, but this guy was supposed to be a Beatle expert. What a disappointment.

Re: Beat the Geeks - Beatle Geek?
Oh, I was fuming! I was yelling at the guy! My friends were trying to calm me down. Ugh, he was a disgrace to Beatlemaniac & fans everywhere. I don't consider myself an "expert," but by golly I knew more about them than he did.

Re: Beat the Geeks - Beatle Geek?
I catch that show occasionally, and have always wondered if they had a Beatles geek, now I see they do not.
Which is unfortunate, because the guest geeks (at least the few I've seen) have been quite impressive.

Hey, I want a job at the Game Show network to throw out my million dollar half-baked, lame ideas too! This show has got to be the dumbest, but at the same time, one of the most hilarious game shows I've ever seen!

Re: Beat the Geeks - Beatle Geek?
Any one of us should have been on that show. We know the answers to Beatle questions. Every time any question about the Beatles come up, people who know me look to me with that, "all right, out with it" look. That's an honor.

Re: Beat the Geeks - Beatle Geek?
I saw a different episode of Beat The Geeks, where the Beatles Geek was asked,"Before Ringo joined the band, who turned down the chance to be the drummer?"The geek answered, "Pete Best". To tell you the truth, I did not know the answer was John Hutchinson.Shame on me.I'm not a geek.
