Beatles Dating Site
I think there should be a way where crazy Beatles fan's can be thrown together. It would be great! Think of how much you would have in common!I know the whole idea of these forum's are to get to know people & get buddies. But maybe this is what some people want, who knows? Is it worth a try?

Re: Beatles Dating Site
Nothing against you, Matt, but Beatlelinks is not a dating service. What a member does away from the forums is his/her own business. The forums are for discussing many topics, but mostly the Beatles.
If you wish to actually meet up with another member, I suggest that you send them a PM or an email message. If any members want to "come together", it will strictly be between them.

I got what you meant, Matt. And you're right, that would be a good idea. Even though I've sworn off internet dating because it *is* "loserville", I'd probably give a site like that a whirl...or a twist and shout.

Re: Beatles Dating Site
Matt I totally hear ya..
I always love meeting new Beatle people so to speak.
I also understand the decorating thing, I've been ubducted by Ebay lately by buying up things that will someday go in my very own Beatles Room.

Like anything, though, internet dating has its good and bad points...Someone at work found a profile/pic for one of the university professors on match.com a while ago! *He's one WEIRD dude, I tell you, after reading that profile...

Re: Beatles Dating Site
I agree that it's just as good as any club or bar or live show. Still, though, I'd steer way clear of Yahoo (if you're female, anyway.) The men there seem to be either hackers, people w/serious personality disorders, or both of the above. Even as friends, let alone dating...it's a crazy world out there.

Re: Beatles Dating Site
Well, two of my best friends met on Yahoo, but not through personals, through groups.

Re: Beatles Dating Site
Oh, jeez; I wasn't even thinking of the personals! LOL...shows you how much of a life I have, even on Yahoo. I meant Messenger and chat. I actually went out with a guy I met in a religion chat there for about a month last December. (Turns out he lived in a town about 45 minutes away from me.) Why am I even going here? Anyway, he turned out to be a complete meanie, as did the guy from Chicago (from a Beatles room, nonetheless!), and a hacker who started out by chatting me up on Messenger ( I guess he searched for me by profile, b/c I was just minding my own business that night...) I never even thought of the personals there...guess it's a good thing I didn't! Yeesh.

Re: Beatles Dating Site
If there was such a site, I'd try it out. I've read some weird profiles too on Yahoo and match.com and AOL. I'm glad Internet dating has worked out for some people. In a way, I think it is better than going to a bar.

Re: Beatles Dating Site
No offense to the Yahoo people here, but their personals use to scare me! The things people would write, it's like, "Hellooo? TMI, dude... SHUDDAP!" Those people get pretty graphic on what they really want, if you know what I mean! Whoa! *And it takes alot to shock me.

<font size="2" face="Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif">You'd think so, wouldn't you? Not really. At least in a bar, you can assess them in person. Online, you really don't know who's on the other end. And when you finally meet it's like, "Didn't you say you were 40?" (when they are obviously 50, or just look bad for their age) "Gee, 6'3" is usually taller than me.." Do you get what I mean? And, when they say "I'll call you between such and such time" usually means they are actually married. Especially if they only give you their cell phone #. Take if from a voice of experience. Either California is chock full of liars & cheaters or I'm just pretty dang unlucky.
