I finished reading AT FIRST SIGHT. It was superb and enjoyable. So much thought and detail in that story. I was so into the George and Theo story, I was surprised but thrilled when the setting changed to England and I was able to see the interactions with the other Beatles. John was a trip!! John is frequently a "scoundrel" in these stories, LOL, (BAD BOY: now junior behave yourself!) but you gave him a lot of depth regarding the issues with his mother. Good job all around with all the characters. Love the sinister edge with George, LOL. Good job!!

Thanks!

I'm glad you enjoyed the story. It's a bit rough around the edges, but I'm proud of what I wrote, and I think it's a good story that I hope people will find to be an enjoyable read. I don't know when/if I'll go back to that AU.

I appreciate you taking the time to comment with your thoughts on the story.

Hello everyone! It's been far too long since I updated 'The Nearest To My Heart', but after a bout of writer's block I've got an update for everyone still following this story. I do hope you enjoy it and I apologize for the wait.

During the Beatles Christmas show concert dates they strike up a friendship with their co-liners the Debutantes an up and coming black girl group from New York (Loosely based on The Ronettes). Paul and John both find themselves interested in the lead singer and budding songwriter, Charlie 'Tilly' Tillman. Will friendship turn to love with Paul and Charlie or John and Charlie, and will society and the demands of the lads fame ruin things before they properly begin?

Just about caught up! Loving it and wanting to read more. I can't help but think of that song by the Zombies meshed with the track 'About Her' by Malcom Mclaren. So even the title seems inspired. You got talent!

Good catch! The title of the most recent update was taken from The Zombies tune of the same name. I thought it was fitting for Charlie's state of mind while out with Paul. I'm thrilled that you're still enjoying this story. Thank you for reading and for taking the time to comment. I appreciate it very much!

Thanks! I' thrilled that you're enjoying the Nearest To My Heart. I'm very pleased with the story I've told, and there is plenty more that I'm looking forward to sharing with readers. I appreciate you taking the time to read and especially to comment.

If you don't want to 'spoil' anything in this thread feel free to leave feedback at the Livejournal site where the story is hosted. I'm curious to know what you think.

I noticed that you seem to be a George fan from your icon and screenname. I've written a George story as well and it's completed. You can read At First Sight here. It's the story of George visiting his sister Louise and her family in Benton, Illinois and meeting a girl.

YOWZA! I've reached 5,000 hits! Thanks guys. I really do appreciate your interest in this thread and my stories. Once again thank you for reading and a big thank you to those who comment.
