Question Big price tag

After John had written the lyrics to "Give Peace A Chance", he handed the piece of paper to someone to hold onto. Who did John give the lyrics to, what was his reason and how much did they sell for at auction?

John gave the handwritten lyrics to Gail Renard, a young girl who had dodged hotel security and was able to request an interview for her college magazine. J

The lyrics sold for 421,250 at Christies in July 2008.

Gail Renard is correct. I still need a reason and the correct amount it sold for at Christie's.

John told Gail Renard that she should keep the lyrics because they would be worth something one day. Selling price 350,000 ($833,654)

LMW28IF, you're very close to the amount. Think of a figure a little lower.
