Default "Let Him Be"

I was trying to look anything mentioned about this in other threads but I don't see any news or comments... has anyone heard of this film that's set to be aired during Beatle Week in Liverpool? I'm a bit undecided about the idea... it's definitely unusual, and I suppose ultimately it is a nice thought (albeit a fantasy) that John still might be with us. The link is below, where you can find a preview of the film.

UK PREMIERE OF ‘LET HIM BE’
INTERNATIONAL BEATLES WEEK, LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND
'Let Him Be’, a film written, directed and scored by Peter McNamee, will make its UK premiere at this year’s International Beatles Week in Liverpool. This intriguing new, critically acclaimed Canadian film, will be shown during the festival on Sunday 29 August at the Adelphi Hotel. The director will also attend a Q&A session after the screening.
Let Him Be is an intriguing fantasy/thriller with something real to say about the matter of personal involvement and emotional commitment in today’s media-hooked-in world. Two film students discover something uncanny on a tape found inside an old video camera bought at a garage sale in a remote northern Canadian town. It contains a brief clip of an old man who bears more than a passing resemblance to an older John Lennon.
Is Lennon alive and living? The two become fixated. Could it be him?
It’s an absurd idea that they might have passed off if it were not for the fact that the man also sounds so much like Lennon. Did he stage his own death to live a life of anonymity in his second-favorite nation? The filmmakers decide to uncover the truth. With hidden body cameras, wireless cameras and surveillance cameras, the viewer gets to experience first-hand the possibility that history deceived us. Illusion and reality tangle and swirl on this remarkable journey of discovery.

Yeah, I heard about this film... and I think there's a posting somewhere on BL about it. I remember thinking, "Who said Canada was John's second favorite country? And what was his first... England? The US? Japan? He loved Scotland, too..." (lol)

Anyway, it's nice that people are making films about John and Beatley things... but this premise seems a little Elvis-y and unoriginal, imo.

I'm sure there was a discusion about this, but it's nowhere to be found.

I know there will always be a demand for films about John and the other Beatles solo together, but I question the need for this kind of fantasy films. The real history is much more interesting, not sure what the added value is, but that's just my feeling.
