Default Free As A Bird

Ok, when I hear Free As A Bird, it sounds like John Lennon singing it at the begining, how can he sing if he's dead, right? I know it's Paul singing it and then what it sounds like John and then after that is it George? I think it is. If it John singing it, how did they do that in the studio?

Would you believe me if I said they brought an Ouija board to the studio?

Acutally, John recorded a demo of this song in 1977, and Yoko gave permission for the other three to use it. They recorded their tracks over his.

The remaining Beatles had finished the song around John's demo. It is him singing.

They did the same for Real Love too. I remember something Paul said that when they went into the studio to record their part of Free as a Bird, they got the mindset of John having recorded his part of the song, and leaving it for them while he went on vacation.

That sounds like an easier thing to have in your head, rather than singing along with a dead guy's voice.

Paul comes in on the second verse, and George on the third verse, right before his slide guitar solo.
