Default Beatles Food Recipes: Fun Ideas

I am planning to have a Beatles’ themed party with some of my friends and was wondering if anyone has any ideas as far as food is concerned. I was thinking that maybe having the “theme” of the Beatles, songs, movies, or pop culture involved. I really can’t cook, so hopefully there is something easy to make and snack-oriented.

The only thing I can come up with is Strawberries . . .

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, please let me know! I’m open to anything.

The only thing which occured to me is the triangle sandwich (I don´t know if this is the right title...you know this kind of sandwich with triangle shape ) As far as I know there was a lot of them in 'A Hard Day´s Night'

ham "sarnies" as George said all those years ago...

How about a vegetarian repast since the Beatles all became vegetarians?
That is yet another option.

"George's Garden Variety Salad" sounds good. So does "Harrison Vegetable Soup."

Jam butties was a treat the boys loved.

If you have to have jelly babies (never did like them personally), just don't throw them at anybody. George said they hurt!

For desserts, you might want to order a box of Savoy Truffles and have them with your tea the next day.

Did they really all become vegetarians?

Paul is a confirmed vegetarian.

I have read that John followed a macrobiotic diet in the late 70's but I am not sure if it was vegetarian or not.

I know that Ringo follows a very strict diet due to health reasons but again I am not sure if it vegetarian or not.

I don't recall reading anything about George's diet.

How about something from the song "Savoy Truffle" - there's a few things to choose from there. For instance, "coconut fudge", or "pineapple heart".

On one of Ringo's updates on his website, he was promoting something around Christmas last year, and he said "Christmas is coming, the geese are getting fat", then said something like "Well, no goose for me, as I'm a vegetarian". He also mentioned how he likes to keep his frig stocked with lots of fruits and veggies to keep his energy going.

I'm bet George was a vegin. It would have gone against his belief system to eat meat.

Maybe you can do a Hamburg Beatle theme night and serve beer, sausages and sauerkraut.

Buy several cans of Heinz Baked Beans and serve them out of a suitcase (Ringo brought a suitcase full of them to India in '68). Everyone gets a can or two...

Ginger sling with a pineapple heart. Coconut fudge. Cool cherry creme...

I'm going to the fridge...

Mother Nature's Sundae

The classic—the healthy way! Peruvian plantains and frozen yogurt smothered in hot carob syrup, homemade lo-fat whipped cream, and topped with granola and a real, hand-picked cherry.

I am pretty sure George was just a non meat eater, I don't think he was a vegan which means no dairy or any animal bi- products.
