Wow, I can't believe we're on a new thread already, doesn't it seem we just started the last one?

My cat loves to sit in my lap and watch the cursor on the screen fly around.

Somebody just said to me "You can't be too careful..." I think you CAN be too careful.

Example. What if you know that one out of every 5,000 times you leave your house at night, something bad could happen to you? Do you take reasonable precautions and go out anyway or do you stay home? Would you rather have 4,999 great memories and one bad one or a lifetime of not much? Maybe some people would prefer to be careful and not risk it, but man, I am not one of them.

Trying to decide if I want to go to a "Six String Social" tonight at the music school - it's basically a casual song circle - there's a theme and a leader and you play music, relax, have a beer, socialize....tonight's theme is George Harrison songs, so I think it could be fun. But since I don't play regular guitar, I could just sit and sing.

But I need to practice, I need to work on my apartment and I need to work on my writing tonight...and it's cold and snowing. But on the other hand, it's early enough that I could take the bus home and not spend a fortune on a cab....

Decisions, decisions....

I'm getting tired of Green Day... everytime I turn on the radio "Boulevard of broken dreams" is on. What I hate the most is that I know a song that has the same name but in Spanish, and that one is great and they never put that song on the radio!

Yeah... Green Day used to be good but now they act kind of like.. "poserish" or something like that. They aren't as good as they used to be.

"This Town Aint Big Enough For Both Us" by Sparks is a classic song.

I love that Spanish song you're naming, by Sabina, I'm a big fan of his work.

And about Green Day, I like that song but you're right it's so overplayed that I really don't want to hear it anymore.

I really want to go outside today... but I don't really feel like facing the wind and snow.

When did St. Patrick's Day become a week? Ugh, just what I need, more stupid drunk kids wearing ugly green Cat in the Hat hats and garish green Mardi Gras beads roaming around the neighborhood.

I bought all these cool looking apptizers at Trader Joe's, so I don't think I'm going to have an actual meal for dinner, I'm just going to graze on all the appetizers. Yum yum.

Ever since one day wasdeemed not enough, apparently...I don't know how it is in Chicago, but "St. Patrick's Day Parade Season" starts around here as early as March 1st, with suburban communities having their parades, and culminating on the 17th with the big one on Fifth Avenue.

My husband (who is Irish-American) calls all that stuff "Amateur Night." He thinks it's ridiculous!
