A new dog moved into the neighborhood. She's a beautiful Boston bulldog and she has a lot of energy.

Re: More random thoughts, anyone?
Amazon.com is high. They just sent me a list of "suggested purchases based on your buying habits" and one of the things on there was some $150 Atlas of Contemporary Architecture. Why would they think I'd want that based on me buying trashy romance novels, bargain books, Dave Barry and music stuff??

Re: More random thoughts, anyone?
I'm neither stupid, naiive or poor, but I just can't fathom that there are people who make $50,000 a year who routinely spend $500 on shoes.

Re: More random thoughts, anyone?
Related to that, it boggles my mind that my coworker who makes about the same amount that I do just bought a 1/2 million dollar house. I sure hope he has a rich dad or some family money because if he ends up declaring bankruptcy or something in a couple years, I'm going to have to kill him.

Re: More random thoughts, anyone?
random fact
Why is the word "Golf" insulting to women?
The name of the game comes from its origins in Scotland, where it was strictly Gentlemen Only, Ladies Forbidden sport -- hence GOLF. Some golf courses, obviously, still have this policy.

I really ought to be finishing up my "Feminism in Existentialism" paper (2500 words, due tomorrow, of course), but the Links are so much more fun!

I am not sure I understand. Do you consider 50,000$ a year to be a low salary? I have never remotely even come close to making that amount. I am not complaining though. I live a simple life.
