Be My Yoko Ono
Is this a pretty and amusing tune? Its by the Barenaked Ladies, have a listen if you haven't heard it.
[ QUOTE ]
If there's someone you can live without, then do so
And if there's someone you can just shove out, oh do so
You can be my Yoko Ono
You can fallow me wherever I go
Be my, be my, be my Yoko Ono woah
Isn't it beautiful to see two people so much in love?
Barenaked as two virgins hand in hand and hand and hand in glove
Now that I'm far away it doesnt seem to me to be such a pain
To have you hangin off my ankle like some kind of ball and chain
Yo can be my Yoko Ono
You can fallow me wherever I go
Be my, be my, be my Yoko Ono, woah
Be my Yoko
Oh no, here we go
Our life is one big one pun
Oh no, here we go, as Yoko sings about Aiee!
I know that when I say this
I may be stepping on pins and needles.
But I don't like all these people slagging her for breaking up the Beatles.
Don't blame it on Yokey!
if I was John and you were Yoko,
I would gladly give up musical genius,
just to have you as my very own, personal Venus.
Hit it!
You can be my Yoko Ono
You can follow me wherever I go
Be my, be my, be my Yoko Ono woah
Be my, be my ,be my, be my, be my Yoko Ono woah
Be my, be my, be my, be my, be my Yoko Ono woah
Be my, be my, be my, be my Yoko Ono....woah

Re: Be My Yoko Ono
Great song! Has anyone seen the video? It's cool, Yoko gave them permission to use a bunch of footage of her and John and it's really quite funny. Apparently she DOES have a sense of humor (not that I ever doubted it, I can't imagine John with anyone who didn't have one) and thinks the song is amusing.

Re: Be My Yoko Ono
I remember the first time I heard that song... I was only about eight or nine and didn't really know much about Yoko, but when I heard the line about "breaking up the Beatles" I immediately went into a frenzy trying to figure out what it was that she did!!!
Laugh all you want... I was eight!

Re: Be My Yoko Ono
That's one of my favourite Barenaked Ladies songs (alongside with "Brian Wilson" and "It's All Been Done")! Never saw the video, though...

Just try googling MP3s of the band Barenaked Ladies...or try their site, www.bnl.com -- I think they have clips. Or go out and get their album called "Gordon," it's on that one.
