Re: George\'s Ukelele
Yes, VERY special. That was very interesting from Tom Petty. Wow. Thank you for sharing. I don't own a Tom Petty record or read Stolling Rone, so i would never have seen this otherwise. It's a keeper!

Re: George\'s Ukelele
You dont own any of Tom's records?? You need to change that soon!!! LOL! anyway, this reminded me of Jeff Lynne, who went to see George, well the day before..his girlfriend Rosie Vela, snuck in a ukelele without Jeff knowing, and he played George some of his favourite tunes on it..this is perhaps the most moving George tribute, ive heard of...George was sleeping at the time, but im sure he heard Jeff's (sometimes off key..) renditions of these songs..

Re: George\'s Ukelele
I thought for a while the Xmas song was a Wilbury recording, also because of George's spoken intro.

Re: George\'s Ukelele
Thanks for the link, Hari's Chick.
I dusted off my old ukelele recently after learning of George's fascination with them. It's a very fun little instrument.

Re: George\'s Ukelele
I have one, but it's back in California. I've been trying to find it when I go home to visit family, but it's hard to find things in my mother's house! LOL!
Think I'll just go back to Hawaii & pick up a new one! I like the sound of that better. Anybody wanna go with me?

Re: George\'s Ukelele
It may be nice to have a look at these Ukelele links (again).
It has some very cool links like the one to the Tom Petty interview.
