Wings at their worst
Just bought the "Wings At The Speed Of Sound" CD, and I didn't find it that bad... So I thought that, just like we have the "least favorite George solo album" on Crackerbox Palace, we should start a simmilar topic in here... What's your least favorite Paul/Wings album? Lots of people would say "Wings Wildlife" or "Wings At The Speed Of Sound", but I actually think they're both good pieces of music... (I will be seriously insulted by some utahian because of that... ).
So my least favorite should be "Pipes Of Peace", even though it isn't a Wings album, but a Paul solo album. I think it's only made of Paul's left-overs from "Tug Of War"
Anyone else?

Wings Wild Life gets my vote.

Re: Wings at their worst
Hmm...I guess I'll have to give my vote to Wild Life, as I don't think I've played that album in 10 years.

Re: Wings at their worst
While Wild Life isn't nearly as bad as critics make it out to be, I still say it is "Wings at their worst".
Second worst might be London Town.

Re: Wings at their worst
Oh I agree on that last one... Has anyone heard a song that's worse than "Morse Moose And The Grey Goose"?

Re: Wings at their worst
I have to think about that and check some of his other albums.

Re: Wings at their worst
I'd vote for "Speed of Sound"....there are a couple of really good tracks on there, but most of it does nothing for me. I think that's the only one of Paul's albums I haven't yet bothered to buy on CD because I NEVER played the LP!

Re: Wings at their worst
I love all three, Wild Life and Speed of Sound and London Town, I think that the bottom of my list, though very hard to choose is All The Best, because it is all old stuff and all stuff that is played on the radio all the time.
Sorry for the grammer mistake, school is out so I don't think sometimes!

Re: Wings at their worst
My least favorites...
"Wild life"
"Back to the egg"
"Ram"
Although I should point out that, on all three, there are songs that I do like but on the whole I am not crazy about these albums...

But that's my opinion and surely you have another point of view.
Plus I love the song "London Town", "Backwards Traveller", "With A Little Luck", "Girlfriend", "Name And Address" and some others from it.

Re: Wings at their worst
"Girlfriend" makes me cringe, I don't know why he included it on Wingspan...it was supposably written for an old flame to begin with.
Now that I'm older, I like some of the songs I didn't when I was a pup."Pipes of Peace" is one of them.It was playing in the background yesterday as I videotaped my kids running through our sprinkler in the backyard. It added a real nice touch.Your tastes change, I guess.
Girlfriend, however, Y-Y-Y-Y-E-E-E-E-C-C-C-H-H-H-H!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(I also heard he was styling this icky song after Michael Jackson)

Re: Wings at their worst
I never really liked Wings that much. Paul lost me after Ram.

Re: Wings at their worst
"Wild Life" isn't so bad since it was sort of experimental.
"Pipes of Peace" is my least fav.
