You had me right up until Clapton. How about Brian Setzer? Does anyone carry Chet Atkins legacy better? Clapton is a boring white "blues man".

Ain't nothing to do with race, being a damn good blues man. Being caucasian does not preclude musical talent. Beatles and countless other artists, anyone? And Sir Eric is anything but boring! The man could work wonders with a guitar and together with George Harrison, the duo made musical magic (or magical music).
