Default AHDN Poster

I was given this poster from a family friend last year who found it at a garage sale. I was just wondering if there was any way to tell it was an orginal, or even if it's a real advert at all. I've seen reprints of the style of poster, but I've never seen this one as one.

Any help would be wonderful.

It could be worthless, but I'm just curious.

It is lovely! I'm jealous! lol

I've wondered about posters, in general too. My dad gave me two of his -- one is black and white and shows a scene from some television appearance, and the other is a an advertisement for a show at the London Palladium. I know they're from the 1970s at least because he had them up in his room when he was a teenager. I know they're old, but how can I verify exactly how old? Plus, they're both a bit water damaged around one edge from a water leak in the room where they were being stored.

If you find out just general info about where to go for this kind of stuff, could you pass it along to me? Thanks!

Thanks, Jes!
Hopefully I find some one with information soon. I was going to have Victor Spinetti sign it at the Fest as he was in the film, but I dnot want to ruin the value of it if I find out its worth something!

Or maybe, that would make it worth something..? Hmmm..

I hope you find some info to, Maggie!

I have one just like it that I bought at a mall. It was in a store of memorabilia items. Yours looks to be in very good condition, which is the main reason I would question its authenticity. You'd think a real one would look a lot worse for wear! :>) Hope it's worth some cash, though!

Exactly! I've seen a few reprints in the similar style, but the person who gave it to me said she found it at a garage sale, so maybe it was just tucked safely away in some basement maybe? Who knows, maybe it was someone else's item that was being sold? I don't know, I'd just like to get some answers.

yea I have a similar style poster, except it's for their san Francisco concert and I bought at a little hippy shop in Madison Wisconsin..as far as I know it's a reprint. But yours could very well be an original, and if it is, congrats. If not, it still looks great!

Congrats on a good garage sale find. Can't tell if it's from the 70's by your pic -it's typically measurements that determine authenticity with posters. If you can get a copy at the library or your local bookstore- you may find there are books either exclusively valuing the Beatles memrobilia OR on Music posters.

In any case I see no reason why Victor Spinetti's signature wouldn't increase the value. Do it DO it! And take a picture (better yet have a friend take a picture of you with him as he is signing it!) That way it is irrefutable evidence he did sign it and you were there...if you were thinking of furture value. You can never have enough provenance. It's the first thing I ask about when someone brings me a piece. (I used to be the Beatles Historian for the Hard Rock Vault). Hope that helps a little.

Cheers
