I wanna know cause I'll get a Casino in a year or two and some people on Muscian's Freind say that they get a buzzing sound when playing.
Thanks!

"Face"... I've read those reviews, as well. They might be referring to the standard Korean-made Casinos. Mine is an "Elitist". It is a 1st-rate instrument - as good as a Gibson.
So, to answer your question - no. I don't have a buzzing problem (not with my guitar, that is! ).
If you plan on getting a Korean Casino, let me suggest contacting E.M. Shorts guitars. They're in Witchita, KS and they have the best prices on the planet. They will check out your guitar before they send it to you. So you'll be getting a nicely set-up guitar with more of a human touch then having one sent to you straight from a warehouse like you'd be getting if you go with Mucisian's Friend.

Thanks everybody! I've been playing a knockoff for the last 3 years and I love him, but to have a real actual Hofner has been a dream of mine and now I actually have one and I still can't quite believe it! LOL The thing that amazes me is how light it is...you barely notice you're holding it, it's light as a feather...the one thing I have to get used to is that it doesn't have the dots on the side of the neck to help you know what fret you're on like the knockoff does, so I get lost easier...

I notice it's a lefty model... so, you are a lefty just like the one that made it famous? Not just the right bass, but the right orientation!

Yeah, I play lefty because I chopped the end off the index finger of my left hand, so I don't have a full fingertip...so my choice was learn lefty or learn to play without my index finger and lefty is easier. Plus it's cool.

Yes! They are LIGHT, aren't they? I was so shocked when I first played one, too! (The one I played was a righty! ) But yeah, much lighter than a Gretsch! That's for sure! haha!

Wow! I'm glad you were able to make the switch. I have a friend who I give "lessons" to from time to time. He's a lefty, and I sometimes pick up his guitar and "play" it. It's really weird playing upside-down chords!

I own a Dean Spanish style acoustic guitar with Nylon strings. I've been thinking about picking up an acoustic-electric though.

Impressive line-up of axes qe286!
I've got a photo of all the guitars I owned at one point back around 1998-1999. Most of them are long-gone now... having kept only a couple. I need to retrienve that photo from my old room at my parent's house next time I'm visiting them, and post it here.

It ain't half bad a bass, that Rogue, huh Psych? I love mine. I'd prefer Rellevart's new bass, of course. But the Rogue does the job.

Lucky me, I've got both! It's kind of nice to have a lower-priced one that I'm not so worried about...like I have a gig coming up in May where I just found out I'm going to be playing by a pool...there is no freaking WAY I'm bringing my brand new Hofner to a stage where it could get splashed or anything, so the Rogue is coming. Same if it's an outdoor gig with questionable weather or someplace where security is questionable/nonexistant...

Didn't the Hollywood Bowl stage have a water-filled moat around it in the Summer of 1964? LOL!
