Sure we could all use to "lighten up" a little, but we could all use to "smarten up" a little in our posts as well, but do we?

Re: Nirvana Song Called Best of Past 25 Years
Here's my comments on the top 5.
5. Move "One" to #1 and it's still the better one!
4. Take an 8 mile hike, Senor M&M! Don't let the hand that melts your sorry butt hit you on your way out!
3. They have GOT to be kidding! Puhleeeaze!
2. Ok. Not a real fan, but he was undeniably popular (I may have even liked him in the '80's, but you can't make me admit it! Nuh-uh! )..but I know he's done better songs than this idiotic tune. HOOOO!
1. Smells like someone at VH-1 was smoking something when they made this list.

I'd like to especially know what people think about #93.

Re: Nirvana Song Called Best of Past 25 Years
Yeah. Even VH1, which usually lets most language slide, had to change the subtitles to "I want to #?%! you like an animal."
I still love this song, all the industrial sounds. It's pretty awesome, but, needless to say, I wouldn't listen to it with a kid in the room.

BTW, I'm not asking to be perverted but I know it was really controversial when it came out.

Re: Nirvana Song Called Best of Past 25 Years
At least it's censored on the show...on VH1 Radio it's not censored...
So I'm not the only one who's been watching this show?
You have to admit, they've made some great choices: "I Wanna Be Sedated," "Whip It," "Don't Know Why," and of course "Hot in Herre"!

<font size="2" face="Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif">I agree with your first two, but I think in 5 years, nobody will remember "Don't Know Why" anymore. It's a pleasant enough song, but I wonder if it has staying power.
I actually read your whole list! We don't have all the same favorites, but we certainly loathe the same songs!
Actually, I don't really think more than a handful of those songs deserve this title ("Baby One More Time", with that lovely manufactured vocal? I don't think so....), but VH1 has always had trouble separating an artist's music from their image. Hazard of a visual medium, I guess.

Re: Nirvana Song Called Best of Past 25 Years
Yeah--there was an SNL skit about a debate show from around the time MTV started, and the question was "Is MTV good or bad? We'll hear from two musicians with opposing views." And then you see one really ugly musician and a good-looking one.
Image has something to do with music, but not nearly as much as actual music.

Hey DHarrisonGurl28
I am 12 and i saw how you write. It was very difficult for me to read. what language did your parents teach you? pig-latin? Not to be rude but i'm being honest. And if your going to post anymore posts then i hope you use proper English because that how we talk on this board, not your language. I hope you will take an english class someday. i think since you older than me you shouold know better english. I said it once and i'll say it again i wasn't being rude just being honest.

Re: Nirvana Song Called Best of Past 25 Years
As interesting as the strain this topic has taken isn't, when are we going to go back to the discussion on the topic of this thread? No matter what your feelings are on the way she types no one deserves to be ripped apart for it.
Back to the topic:
I'm confused as to how they judged who made this list because there are songs that are way up there on the list that are completely beyond me. Isn't "I will always love you" in the top ten? That song is a cover song and I don't see the effect that song had besides inspiring more people to sing with horrible vowel sounds "IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIeeeeeeeeeIIIIIIIIIII will always lahve yooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooouu"
If your going to hold onto a vowel at least make it sound pretty.
