Ringo on Conan O'Brien
Did anyone see Ringo on Conan a few weeks ago? What struck me as strange is neither Conan or Ringo ever used the word "Beatles". They were referred to as "the guys" or "the band" or other things. I don't know if it was a bizarre coincidence, or maybe Ringo is just sick of the word. :)

Paul McCartney owns the copyright on the name. Ringo would have to pay a royalty if he uses it.

McCartney does not! Ringo wouldnt have to pay a cent if he mentions the name, if there was anything like that it would be Conan - or more specifically the network that was paying..
Ringo commonly refers to them as "the Guys" etc but ive heard him say "beatles" many times in interviews on TV and radio over the last few years...
People are always saying "the Beatles" in interviews on TV - You dont ahve to pay to mention a group's name on TV only if you play their music.
Pretty absurd Ringorama!!

Ringo was on Conan a few weeks ago? Must've missed it. I know he was on a couple months ago. I didnt catch on to them not using the word Beatles but if I had probably wouldnt have thought much of it.

Back in the 1980s, Ringo could sure act a fool whenever the B word came up. Boy, he made it plain that since he was no longer in that Liverpudlian band, he pitied the FOOL who brought them up. Understandable as the man wanted to move on and forge his own musical style. I'm glad he's made peace (Peace & Love) with his Fab roots. How was that show on Conan? Missed it! Darn!
