That's why I said
"Best ones on top as far as posible, and some of the older favourites with mostly mp3's a bit down."
I also mentioned that the first ones had FLAC files.
While the topic itself is interesting, this is just a list where people can download bootlegs in whatever format they want. These blogs are not mine, so I can't decide what format is being used on these, I also can't decide for other people which format they want to download.
It's all there.
Thanks for going through the sites tho.

dmpc - thanks for clarifying the info on those sites. While I'm not gonna complain about any free music, there are those who have a high quality preference and you're research will have certainly helped them. As we help each other out finding this great stuff in whatever format we choose, let's try to stay positive and be understanding of one another's preferences.
The info on this site is free to us and I'm thankful that any & all of it is here. Thanks Legs for all of your hard work putting this together!
Peace & Love

On the other hand, iTunes, which is probably a program many use to play mp3's, takes up 112 MB, almost 10 times the space that those "cluttering" programs required to burn lossless discs occupy.

As someone who has dealt with thousands of files in both lossless and lossy formats, I am well aware of that software out there to makes these files available and transferable. But I speak on behalf of people who just wants to have some unreleased material at the quickest convenience and are not necessarily interested in the highest quality available, despite whatever easily accessed programs there are. It is respectably their choice to use what they like and I am willing to accommodate for them and for myself.

And for every person that is like you, there are at least one like me.
When I started out on this hobby years ago, it would have been nice if there had been someone like me to point out the fact that there are differences in quality of the various files and that to burn an "album" made up of mp3's to a CD was just a waste of my hard earned money, not to mention the time I spent downloading lossy files when I could have been downloading lossless ones.
Maybe the masses are not that interested in quality, but us hard core fan/collectors are.
Heck, if you're concerrned with file size, and your fans don't care what they download, why not just upload the minimum kbps mp3 files that you can create? What would that be, 16 kbps?

I'm not compaining about free stuff; I am just trying to point out that one can give stuff away for free and still care about its quality. Then again, it shouldn't surprise me that a person doesn't care what they give away, that's one of the problems of our society.

I defy anybodies ears..not their electronic equipment and analysers . to tell the difference between a lossless file and an MP3 at 320kbps.. I know I can't and I listen through a high end audio system...some MP3 streamed from my PC sounds better than commercially available cds.
