Beatles internet radio show
Hey friends, I need your help. If I were able to do a Beatles show on my schools internet station (KABS Tulsa,American Broadcasting School) Would everyone be willing to support me on this and listen? We have a super resrictive format (Top 40 from past 4 yrs), so we'd like a change! If I can get support, I'll make a request to the bosses to do the show. If I can show lots of people would like it, they'd do it! And i might even mention Beatlelinks on the air... Thanks!!

We're with you all the way! You are doing your school a big service. You are providing your classmates, teachers and administrators with cultural enrichment. I think you deserve special honors for your efforts.

Re: Beatles internet radio show
Sounds like a novel idea. If it's the Beatles on the radio, I'll listen.

Re: Beatles internet radio show
Hey thanks everybody!! Just curious tho'...whats every body want to hear? The usual, or usual and a bit unusual (for the radio at least), like the stereo Please Please Me, stuff like that? I'd play some ultra rare stuff, if I could ever work out this trade with Jerry!! I'll write back eventually Jerry! I may be doing a show tonight at www.radioschool.com (the Tulsa station link) as Christian Davidson. E-mail there that you'd like KABS to have a Beatles show and that'll sure get their attention! I'll keep you up to date, and thanks much! I'll give a shout out to youz Beatlepeople!

Re: Beatles internet radio show
Joe,
ALL Beatles songs are a welcome choice. Just a thought -- do you have any of the interviews with the Beatles that can be broadcast, e.g. interview CDs? Another thought -- you might want to make a few comments introducing the interviews, outtakes/bootleg recordings or whatever it is you are playing. Just think -- YOU ARE INTRODUCING THE BEATLES!
You are doing your school community a major service and we all applaud you! Oh, and please play "She Loves You" for me. I just LOVE that one!
Thank you.

Re: Beatles internet radio show
I request "Revolution 9".
------------------
This week, the Beatles greatest hits album, "1", is at number fifty-one on the USA album charts. "Wingspan: Hits and History" by Paul McCartney is at number twelve.

Re: Beatles internet radio show
Okay folks, thanks to your nice responses, the show IS ON!! June 20th from 8 to 10pm Central time. I'll keep everyones requests in mind.Although Revolution 9... maybe backwards? I *could* do that. Nahh. I'm trying to get some American LP mixes to minidisc to play as well, so we'll see. I'll call you folks out by name, so be careful. And yes, I'm planning on some sort of interview clips. "Hear the Beatles Tell All" anyone? Fake VJ label and all!! Anyway, thanks, and you can e-mail me about the show at kabstulsa@radioschool.com
