Re: Who is your Favorite Beatle or Beatles?
i love the beatles, ALL of the beatles, but i have to say that my favorite is george, and in a very much big way. i don't know how i'm supposed to sum up my admiration borderlining obsession in a few sentences, but here goes! first of all, the man was undeniably talented! there just are no words. . . then of course, there is the fact that he was sexy as hell! i mean the eyes (has anyone besides me noticed how looooong his eye lashes were? sweet lord in heaven!), the hair ("arthur", hehe), the cheekbones, those lips *sigh* i could go on, but you can see for yourself ;-) george harrison was simply a gorgeous human being! finally there's the combination of dry wit, spirituality, and zen-ness (since there are no words, i am forced to create a few of my own ;-P) that were his personality that made him so damn fab.

Re: Who is your Favorite Beatle or Beatles?
I love all the Beatles--for various reasons (Ringo for his good nature, George for his heavy spiritual side, and John for his unique sense of humor), but it's Paulie that is my fave! Partly because of (well, largely because of) his great looks, and because he is the one who has had the greatest influence on my life. He and the late and Lovely Linda, helped to shape who I am--a vegetarian, animal rights activist, who appreciates this beautiful planet, and has a great love for music!!! SO, love 'em all, but Paulie is my main man!!!

Ringo!!!
Although lately I've become more of a George fan, I'll always love Ringo the most. After I saw "The First U.S. Visit," there was no going back for me. He has the best personality, and I just want to hug him every time I see him.
I like them all, but Ringo's just my favorite.

Beatles, Beatles,
I love 'em all,
But the one I love most,
Is the Beatle named Paul

Re: Who is your Favorite Beatle or Beatles?
John, Paul, George and Ringo, because they wouldn't be the Beatles without one of them.
However, I do have a soft spot for George , which may have been noticed by some.
Why? The music (could definitely hold its own!), the song lyrics, the guitar playing (that slide!), the humor, the personality, the looks...

And I'll stop now.

Re: Who is your Favorite Beatle or Beatles?
I really do love the Beatles as the Beatles, but I was always more attracted to John in the years 1940-1967 because he was simply drop dead gorgeous. Then he started having bad hair days! But I think I'm more attracted to him because we are both libras, both four-eyes (wear glasses) and we do art and writing (although, my style is way different from his!) I guess it's really I had more common with him then the other three. The saddest part is that he died before I was born.
I love Paul, George, and Ringo the same- although George kinda cheated and went a bit ahead because he passed on and it's a way to make a tribute. I remember watching Ringo on "Shining Time Station" until he left the show- when he left I left! He was always kid-oriented and I liked that. Paul, well he (well, all of them did really, but it was he mostly) achieved A LOT and proved that there's life after the Beatles, and Wings. Although I didn't like him "ignoring" the Beatles with Wings, but I understood his reasons, I'm glad that he decided to bring his past back, even though it sadly took John's death to do so. I am really proud of him, for not sitting on a rotten chair and watching his wallpaper peal and looking oldy-rotty after Linda died. He really bounced back and found more happiness with Heather and the new baby on the way.

Re: Who is your Favorite Beatle or Beatles?
I love 'The Beatles'.
John Lennon : His voice, his humour, his sense of great music, his pacifist attitudes make him unique.
Paul McCartney : His voice, his sense of great music, his love for animals make him unique.
George Harrison : his voice, his sense of great music, his live for India and his spirituality make him unique
Ringo Starr : his voice, his drumming, his humour and his naif sense of life make him unique.
...and without them my life would be very different.

<font size="2" face="Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif">I agree 100%, BG! With regard to his looks, Paul is very attractive and has well proportioned, classic features. Paul appears to be a genuinely nice person; he is a family man and a family man first which is something I truly respect; he is a damn good artist; he appears to be unaffected and I think he really does see himself as "an ordinary bloke who paints (and has other talents), he is brilliant; he has class and is a gentleman; he is gracious; he likes himself and is happy with his life; he appears to be approachable; he can be very funny; he appears to be a loving person and one who knows how to reach people on a grand scale. He has a real flair for natural expression and yeah, I think Paul is an all around nice person.
I also like the way he did not betray George's confidences by disclosing their final conversations. Paul's description of how he sat with George during the latter part of his [George's] life was very moving indeed. Paul sounds like a very compassionate, tender-hearted person.
My favorites: Paul & George.
George, as I have said on other threads really helped people recognize their spirituality; he was a humanitarian; I think he was humble about his talents and the gifts he had to offer; he was gifted with natural expression and was very intense; he had a reverence for life and for his craft, music and he did not compromise his standards for anyone. I believe he was an honest person and had solid core values that he remained true to. He was also receptive to information and kept an open mind. Like his 1966 classic, "Think for Yourself," he not only lived by this credo but was adept at getting others to as well.

Re: Who is your Favorite Beatle or Beatles?
I love the Beatle too, but Paul has a special place in my heart, when the Beatles were new, and the press hounded them to death, Paul always appeared to be interested, sincere, smiling, he just gave it his all when on stage, it felt like no one was left out, his attention was focused on all of the audience, he looked around and waved and smiled at all of us, even thru the TV, his looks are great, but it was his genuine interest that grabbed me.

Re: Who is your Favorite Beatle or Beatles?
I like all the Beatles for one reason or other but I think John wins for a little bit.
He was sincere and intelligent (most of times) but what I really like about John is the way he treated people, especially fans. He never refused (as far as I know) to give an autograph or shake his hands with a fan, which is something that the other Beatles refused to do several times.
What would you feel if your hero says NO if you ask him for an autograph? Must be horrible. Thanks heaven John was smarter than that.

<font size="2" face="Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif">Well put, Darlin. I agree with you 100% and I see there are other "Arthur" afficionadoes out there. Damn, that man had some BEAUTIFUL, bountiful, thick, rich, lustrous wavy brown hair! I mean, I love it! On a lighter note, I have to agree with you about the intensity of his eyes and that incredible crowning glory.

Re: Who is your Favorite Beatle or Beatles?
daughter speaking: Paul is my favorite much for the same reasons as Beatlelover45223, (speaking words of wisdom) but the origin of my love of Paul was from my dad. Although I now think Paul is hot, that didn't occur to me for a long time. But whenever a Beatle's song that Paul sang came on the radio, often Eight Day's A Week, my dad would tell me the same story. he said, "Paul McCartney, now here is one of those singers that just has this tiny little mouth(while impersonating a small mouth) and he barely opens it, maybe an inch, and this amazing noise comes out." he would often add that Paul's voice was naturually strong and loud even though his mouth is barely open, while singers like Mick Jagger have to open up really wide and still cant comare with Paul. so, in conclusion, Love ya Paul

Re: Who is your Favorite Beatle or Beatles?
While my daughter (see above) may agree with Beatlelover45223, I have to agree with LittleDarlin909. George's eyes (and lashes) just make a girl melt. And while Paul may be the superior showman I find the mysterious (some might say devilish) personality of George's more appealing. As far as talent and music i love them both.

Re: Who is your Favorite Beatle or Beatles?
All the Beatles are undoubtebly great, but George is my favorite. At first it was because of his amazing looks (the hair, the eyes... oooh! ) but later I realized he has so much talent. He was never afraid to try new things, he brought Indian music to America, and he became so involved in religion. I love his personality, his sense of humour, his intelligence, absolutely everything about him.

Re: Who is your Favorite Beatle or Beatles?
Aptly put, Diz and perfectly said. I agree with you 100% on George.
And yeah, Beatlelover, I HAVE noticed George's eyelashes. That man had beautiful lashes that enhanced the intensity of his eyes. And that beautiful wavy HAIR! YEAH!
Say, Darlin, you might want to check out the Survey threads in Abbey Road. There are some incredible pics and trust me, based on what you have said, the pics of George will really cheer your day.
Another Beatle treat is the Beatles' 1965 Blackpool concert. George does this very sexy little stiff-legged dance and the dance combined with that glorious brown crown is enough to fill one's mind with pleasant images.

*Didn't any of you notice Paul with those puppy dog eyes and those long lashes of his too? Paul and George both have the long lashes, they could be the lashes twins!
