Default About Harb\'s vinyl collection

The title says it all. Inquiring minds want to know just about what do you have in your Beatles-related vinyl collection. This might be as well a space in which we could all post about what is in our own vinyl collections as well.

Default Re: About Harb\'s vinyl collection

Impresive list Harb. Now I can't compete! Oh wait a minute, yes I can, I've got more Harrison albums

The Beatles:
Let it be - The U.S. red apple one
Live at the holywood bowl
Love Songs
Rarities - The U.S. one

It's not much but these I wanted to have, especially since the later three weren't oficially released on CD at all.

Singles:
The Long and Winding Road
Let It Be

Harb I need help on the "Long and Winding Road" single. On the outside it says Apple 2832, on the inside the run outgroove has "Phil and Ronnie" carved. The number is 2832 - S45-X47182 record first published 1970. Does that mean that this is a re-release, is it rare or very comon and easy to find?

Ep's:
The Magical Mystery Tour - Mine's in Stereo, who needs momo anyway. Oh yes I know the mono is more rare, won't be selling it anyway! And it has the book and Blue lyric sheet.

Paul McCartney/ Wings:
Back To The Egg

Singles:

Coming Up/ Coming up (Live) Lunch Box-Odd Sox
The Long and Winding Road (Live)/ C.moon different version
Young Boy/ Looking for you - Picture disc

John Lennon:
Nothing on Lp only "Mindgames/Meat City" as a single

George Harrison:

Bangla Desh boxed set
Living in the material world
Extra Texture
Somewhere in England
Gone Tropo

Singles

Ding Dong/ I Don't Care Anymore
Got My Mind Set On You / Lay His Head

Ringo:

Ringo - The U.S. one with booklet
Rotogravure

Singles:

It don't come easy/ Early 1970
Photograph/ Down and Out

Well, it only took about 6 years to get to this level, so it won't take THAT long.

I am mesmorized.

I have about 80 CDs, 20 cassettes and only four vinyl LPs... so I can't possibly compete. But I'm in the business only for about four years... so let's see.

Thanks again for your time Harb.

Very nice list, Harb. I've been collecting onthe Beatles for about 27 years. I've got about 200 lps (thats Beatles and solo)The "rarest" is probably the still sealed, gold vinyl of Reel Music. Rell' and I each won one at Beatlefest many years ago. I've got re-issues mainly. I believe I've got them all on apple, many Japenese and British albums. I've got the blue box set and probably all of the solo releases thru maybe 1990. Of course, 20+ years ago it was alot easier (and cheaper!) to buy vinyl. I've got a number of singles as well, mainly on Apple. I rarely play any of the albums any more - most are probably worn out from over-playing them. I really did wear out a copy of Abbey Road - ran out and got a replacement, much to my family's amusement.

Have you ever thought as to what you might do with your collection someday, Harb? I think mine collection has some value, but don't have plans to sell anything, with the expection of some of the duplicates some day.

Shhhhhhh....we don't talk about that, you know! (in-joke!)

I have a ton of vinyl too, for the same reason as Lynner does - that's all there WAS when we started collecting! I have all the regular U.S. and U.K. album releases by the group and all the solo albums through about 1986 (when I got my first CD player and started buying CD's exclusively). Lots of singles too. Can't play any of them anymore though, as my turntable is broken.

I've been photographing all my collection today. The pics can be found at http://members.fortunecity.co.uk/pau...ollection.html . There's some stuff here that I didn't mention in the above lists.

I haven't got round to doing the solo singles yet. I will be doing them tomorrow. The only stuff I won't be photographing are reissues and albums I got more than one of.
