I've seen it. Great for Paul fans (of which I am a big one), but I don't think it had much wider appeal (as the takings at the box-office showed). I love the film actually, but I must admit the scene with Paul driving his hot-rod speeded-up made even me cringe. I think he could have done better and still wish he would try, but once bitten....

As for the soundtrack - 10/10.

The soundtrack is awesome, although the movie dragged somewhat. Paul redid some Beatle songs that sound pretty good and fresh and had Ringo on drums and Dave Edmunds on guitar on some tracks:
Side 1
No more Lonely Nights (ballad)
Good Day Sunshine
Corridor Music*
Yesterday
Here, There, and Everywhere
Wanderlust
Ballroom Dancing
Silly Love Songs

Side 2
Silly Love Songs (reprise)*
Not Such A Bad Boy
No Values
No More Lonely Nights (ballad reprise)*
For No One
Eleanor Rigby/Eleanor's Dream
The Long And Winding Road
No More Lonely Nights (playout version)
*incidental music

I've seen the movie a couple of times and have the soundtrack. The LP is by far 100% better than the movie, but the film did have it's moments. The ballroom scene was good and the picnic scene was alright.

I have the soundtrack too. It's a brilliant album with a couple of Beatle songs thrown in for good measure.

I remember seeing the movie in the theatre when it came out. Loved the band scenes (I'm a big Dave Edmunds fan), but cringed during the futuristic white makeup bits! Love the soundtrack though. I have a sentimental attachment to the movie because the first time I saw Paul in the flesh was when he was in Chicago promoting it! :-)
