My favorite part was the bit about Brian hiring prostitutes for 'em. classic. Has anyone read Larry Kane's? There's a bit where a couple young girls were in John's room, apparnetly John fell asleep and the girls were in their for quite some time. The mother came around Brian flipped out just at the possibility that she might start trouble (with the media, etc). Now, if he was that touchy WHY would he hire women who might be more than happy to tell the press about the good time they had with 4 of the most famous people in the world?
also as was said, these guys didn't exactly need to pay for good lovin'.

Yeah, I read Kane's book and had the pleasure of meeting him in Chicago.

And yeah, money can't buy me love as Paul McCartney said in 1964!

Bah! It's all a bunch of bullpucky. Who cares at the end of the day anyway?

I have greater worries, like what kind of burrito I'd rather have, chicken or bean.

Life's great mysteries.

well actually, that is why he would pay for women, the 'professionals' are just that. They would tend to have a better 'confidentiality' trust.

And for the children, I say let's just test all people born between 1960-(oh say) 1975 and see just how many of 'us' there really are

In any case I do not accept that it is a given that the Beatles slept with many women. Maybe they did. Maybe they didn't. I don't care either way and besides it's really no ones business.

[/ QUOTE ]

Matt, while I agree that they are entitled to their privacy, you only have to look so far as their interviews and biographies and the anthologies to figure out that not only did they sleep with loads of women, but they're not shy about telling you that they did it, either. So I wouldn't necesarrily say it's none of our business. It is a private matter, but one that the Beatles have over the years at various times chosen to speak out about.

Paul says this in "Many Years from Now", by Barry Miles:
We felt like trawlers, trawling for sex, everywhere we went it was on our minds. We were just guys on the run, guys on the lookout. We were so pleased that we could finally get girls because in our teenage years it had been very difficult, and now they were throwing themselves at you and this was just very pleasing, nothing more and nothing less. I was pretty free. I got around quite a lot of girls. I felt that was okay, I was a young bachelor, I didn't feel ashamed of it in any way, I felt good about it.

Yea, Sally... having read more of Barry's book again, I'm thinking that Paul possibly "got around" more than any of them. Not that you can blame any of those girls one bit.

He is lovely but abit too lovely for me, too angelic like a lovely brother, no I would have to be in Georges line with his brooding dark eyes and his "come to bed" voice!

This is beginning to resemble the Survey topic in Abbey Road.
