well I think some of the songs were kind of weird for just drum guitar and bass like Lucy in the sky and let it be seemed you need more than just those intruments you know?

I'm sure they were just putting this on there to get an early Ringo song, but "Boys"?! Come on....that song kinda stinks. Nothing against Ring, of course. It just....blegh. And I'm disappointed there aren't more songs from the "Help!" album.....that is a stellar album for harmonies. And hello! No Paul songs from Abbey Road?!?! The one that really stinks for me is "Hey Jude" not being on the list. I'm really hoping that that is the last song they're going to tell us about. I mean....you just CAN'T leave "Hey Jude" out!

*ahem* despite my whining, I am still crazy excited about this game!

Yeah... "Boys" was never a fave. I tended to skip over it. Puzzling why they put that one on and not an original. It's not like there was a lack of great originals!

In defense of 'Boys', it has great call and respond lyrics (bop shoo wop bop bop shoo wop) and excellent driving rythmns (sp?). It also probably adapts very well to the game with the vocal harmonies. I'm willing to bet it fits well within the scope of things.

Perhaps the "sing-along" qualities are there. But surely there was a better choice. "Ask Me Why" would have been cool.

Anyway... who cares in the end? Many of us are gonna buy it and are glad it's coming! I don't think one song will ruin it for everyone.

The great thing is that no matter what song they left off that should have been on the disc (like all the ones that aren't right? ), the downloads will take care of a majority of these. No paul songs from Abbey Road? The rest of Abbey Road is the first downloadable album! I too was dissapointed not to see more from Help but almost assuredly that will all be on the game soon.

The songs on the game disc will all feature the drums, bass, guitar and vocals combination prominently. Songs like Hey Jude, Let It Be, & Long and Winding Road would be great for vocals but a bit of a lul for those on the instruments. Yesterday is a guitar/vocal players song but not so fun for the full band as a unit.

I have faith that songs like these will be downloadable for those that want to play it all .

I'm finding out my major disappointment are with the selection of the pre-1965 material. I feel that they're missing out on many rockin' song although most of them covers. Song like Roll Over Beethoven, Long Tall Sally, and Everybody's Trying to be My Baby (which would've been a sinch being that Paul owns the publishing right). Other originals I feel they should've included are You Can't Do That, It Won't Be Long, Hold Me Tight, Tell Me Why, No Reply and of course She Loves You (although I understand the technical limitations of this track).

I'm hoping for a lot of DL content as well! Hopefully every album? But if that doesn't happen, I'm hoping for Revolver, White Album, Help!, and Magical Mystery Tour... besides the ones that have been announced.

So, I guess that the "bonus songs" that you get through the Pre Order Club are ones that you can choose from the downloadable songs.

ie:
"We also know that the following tracks/albums will be available as downloadable content after the game is released:

All You Need Is Love (To be released on 9/9/09)

Abbey Road (Full Album - minus tracks already on disc) (To be released shortly after game release)

Rubber Soul (Full Album - minus tracks already on disc) (Release Date Unknown)

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Full Album - minus tracks already on disc) (Release Date Unknown)"
