Default What are you reading?

The title is fairly self explanitory I would think. A place where we can discuss what we're currently reading, or what we've just finished.

A bit like the "Recommend a Book" thread, but you can post books that you didn't enjoy on here as well.

Re-reading Pride and Prejudice for the umpteenth time. Not sure why I like it so well, but I do. I read it about once a year.

One of my favorite books, Lynn. I also reread Pride & Prejudice about once a year.

Now reading Wellington And His Friends - Letters Of The First Duke Of Wellington To The Rt. Hon. Charles And Mrs. Arbuthnot, The Earl And Countess Of Wilton, Princess Lieven, And Miss Burdett-Coutts. Phew! What a title! It's an interesting read though. I like the way he comes across in his letters. Rather direct, and he's clearly a man used to condense his thoughts in as few words as possible, but so vigorous and quite amuzing in spots.

Too technical for now: Journalism for Filipinos.

I'm still finishing the 4th book of A Series of Unfortunate Events

I am reading Stephen Fry's autobiography, titled: "Moab is my Washpot"
It is honestly the best autobiography I have ever had the pleasure of reading. He has this amazing way with words..impossible to describe, but I encourage you all to find out about it!
His books are impossible to put down.

I'm still trying to finish my Freshmen Common Reader that I had to read for school. It's called A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier. It's very, very sad and tragic, but it's what happened/happens over in Africa where there are child soldiers. The author, whom all of this happened to, is coming to campus on Tuesday to talk about the book, so I'm trying to get it finished.

I read a great teen fiction book on polygamy called Sister Wife. I read it in one sitting (on a road trip to Florida!), and it was an amazing read. I couldn't believe it. I highly recommend it.

I can't put novels down which makes me feel like a negligent mother, so I've been on a non-fic kick (I don't obsessively read them until my eyes fall out). So right now I'm reading American Midwives: 1860-Present, Heather Armstrong's It Sucked and Then I Cried, and Waterbirth: A Midwife's Perspective.

I'm glad to hear a positive review! I bought it a few weeks ago, but unfortunatly I've had too many books on the go, so I haven't been able to start it.
I'm even more excited now!
