Really? I know that one character (Tony Smirko) in the movie I Wanna Hold Your Hand said that, but I never heard that John did.

I like this quote:

“We didn't all get into music for a job! We got into music to avoid a job, in truth - and get lots of girls.”
Paul McCartney

Question: How do you feel about teenagers imitating you with Beatle wigs?

John: They are not imitating us, because we don`t wear Beatle wigs.

I like the one on my signature. It's from John's interview for Playboy.

“It's fear of the unknown. The unknown is what it. is. And to be frightened of it is what sends everybody scurrying around chasing dreams, illusions, wars, peace, love, hate, all that--it's all illusion. Unknown is what it is. Accept that it's unknown and it's plain sailing. Everything is unknown--then you're ahead of the game. That's what it is. Right?” John Lennon

It speaks a lot to me.

I love these:

"The nicest thing is to open the newspapers and not to find yourself in them" - George.

"We never write anything with themes. We just write the same rubbish all the time." -John

"You're all geniuses, and you're all beautiful. You don't need anyone to tell you who you are. You are what you are. Get out there and get peace, think peace, and live peace and breathe peace, and you'll get it as soon as you like."

-John

"I am going into an unknown future, but I'm still all here, and still while there's life, there's hope."

-John - This one saddens me

This is not a Beatles quote, but it was written about them, and it makes me smile whenever I read it.

"The Beatles: Out of all of the groups to ever grace the stages of the word's theatres, all the acts to ever perform live on television, and out of all the artists to ever exist, they stand head, shoulders and waist above the crowd and will always be known as the best. Ever."

I was at a hotel in Austria while we were filming Help! and I had the flu. We were staying in the same hotel and I was lying in bed. Each of The Beatles visited me seperatly, and the way they visited me when I had the flu is what they are really like.
There was a knock on the door. Paul McCartney opened it, looked around, and asked, "Is it catching?" I said, "Yeah," and he closed the door. George Harrison walking in and said, "I've come to plump your pillows because whenever you're ill people come to plump your pillows and did what he could to make me feel comfortable.
Joen Lennon walking in and said [in a very German accent], "You are in zeee state of Austria. You are going to be experimented on by zee doctors and your skin will be made into lampshades. Heil Hitler!" Then he walked out. Ringo walked in, didn't say anything, sat on the side of the bed, picked up the room service menu, looked at it, and said, "Once upon a time there were three bears, Mommy bear, Daddy bear, and Baby bear..."
And that was the essential difference between the four of them. John, the surrealist. Paul, the one who thinks if it's catching he might not be able to do the shot tomorrow. George, the caring one. Ringo, the fantasist.
-Victor Spinetti
(sorry it's so long, but I really enjoyed this quote..thought you all might aswell!)
