Question: Do you like topless bathing suits?
Ringo: We've been wearing them for years.

Ringo Starr, circa 1964, arriving in America for the first time.

"We turn the sound down on her and say rude things." -- George Harrison, 1964
I read this, but I am not sure where.

"The Beatles will exist without us."
- George Harrison
A short quote but it perfectly encapsulates how the legend of The Beatles would live on long after the members themselves have gone.

Another funny quote from George is when he referred to himself and Eric as "Husbands-In-Law".
...and Get Back, that comment from John Lennon...have to be one of greatest one liners ever!!!

I love this John quote:
“If The Beatles or the sixties had a message, it was to learn to swim. The people who are hung up on The Beatles and the sixties dream missed the whole point when The Beatles and the sixties dream became the point. To live in that dream is the twilight zone."

.....and a couple from Paul:
1. “I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird.”
2. “You know, I'm not one of these people that just because I've done all that I now become Superman. You can't touch me. You know, you can touch me. I'm very, unfortunately, very reachable,”

Interviewer : Can you explain Beatlemania
John Lennon : No. I'll leave that to the psychologists and let them get it wrong
Interviewer : Is Ringo Star the best drummer in the world
McCartney : He's not even the best drummer in the Beatles (classical old skool humility)

I love to hear a choir. I love the humanity to see the faces of real people devoting themselves to a piece of music. I like the teamwork. It makes me feel optimistic about the human race when I see them cooperating like that.

Q- I know you must be concerned about the rumors, Paul-
"I can say I'm not concerned in the least bit. I mean really, I've never been so unconcerned"

John, live performances of 'I Want To Hold Your Hand', because of the difficulty hearing the vocals above the noise of screaming audiences:
"I want to hold your gland"

No clue. I don't really listen to cover versions, the only cover I can think of is Thrice's version of Eleanor Rigby... it was alright.
