"Sunset Boulevard". I finally watched that famous cult film! I really liked it. Quite scandalous for its time.

Blades of Glory - I don't like Will Farrell, but this movie was pretty funny.

The one I saw was definitely not a musical.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

It's hard to believe the same actor played Raoul Duke and Captain Jack Sparrow.

I went to see Quantum Of Solace yesterday.
Overall a very good film, tho I thought Casino Royale was a bit better.
The bond films were never character driven, but I found the moments when you could see the development of Bond the most intersting. How he turned from a ruthless killer, not thinking about his kills, to a person more reluctant to kill and how he deals with his feelings for Vesper.
I couldn't get into the first half of the movie. To many action scenes without good reasons. Once the story got clearer and you got follow what Bond was up to it became a much better film. I like his moments with Mathis and the more emotional stuff.
It has more elements of traditional bond films, and especially in the first half it has more action scenes then "Casino Royale". Perhaps that's why suportes of that movie were disapointed by Qantum of Solace, but nowhere goes it overboard like "Die Another Day" does, and it certainly isn't a Pierce Brosnan kind of Bond film. Perhaps why some other critics and fans don't like it.
However I think it's a good film and the right direction for the bond films in the future. No doubt I'll buy the dvd, but I think Ill go see it for a second time. If we get a gun barrel at the begining next time, a bit more of the Bond theme and perhaps a Q like figure next time it would be even more perfect.
Beautiful Bond girls who played their parts well. Certainly above the standards of Denise Richards.
With this direction and Daniel Craig as one of the best bonds, I can't wait for the next Bond film.

I watched "Sherlock Jr" last night.
There's nothing like a Buster Keaton film. Great flick.

I finally got around to watching it a month or two ago, too. It was better than I ever imagined it to be. Really good little film. Glad you enjoyed it as well.

2001: Space Odyssey
This move felt like 5 hours rather than just 2. It was a chore to watch. The only parts that held my interest was HAL the computer. The scenery was stunning though.

I saw Quantum of Solace last night! Daniel Craig is amazing. The first half was all action but the plot really developed in the second half.
Also, two words: Car Chase.

The credits say that the redhead's full name was Strawberry Fields.

Buster Keator was the greatest actor and director, in my humble opinion.

I watched As Good as it Gets the other night; it never did get good enough, in my humble opinion.

Exactly. Once I got into the plot and there was some more dialogue and character development I could get into the movie. Not that Bond movies are very deep and heavy into charactars, but still. The action was fine, but a bit to much and it was unclear what happened at times.
Some nice nods to previous Bond films. "Goldfinger" the most obvious one, but there were a lot of hints at "The Spy Who Loves Me".
Forgot to mention "Strawberry Fields".

I have to write an essay (even though my profs and TAs are on strike...grr) comparing the Iliad with Full Metal Jacket...so I watched Full Metal Jacket yesterday. It's one of my dad's favourite movies, so I'd seen bits of it before, I'd never actually watched it in it's entirety before though. It was quite depressing.
