I just want to add that Empty Garden by Elton John is one of the most beautiful songs I've heard.

I have a few questions, though, what year were "Dear Friend" and "How Many People" released? Aso, how is "3 Legs" a song about John?
Thanks

"Dear Friend" was in '71, as is "Too Many People." "How Many People" is from '89.
"3 Legs" is interpreted as a knock at John, George, and Ringo. Without Paul, they're like a horse with three legs is what he's saying. I think.

Re: songs about john lennon..do they exist???
There's quite many Yoko songs about John. When I have the time, I could come up with a list. But "It Happened" (you know..."It happened, at the time of my life when I least expected...") is one that she released after John's passing, but was actually written during their separation. In fact, John had found the tape of the song and was working on it a few months/weeks before he died, and Yoko felt it was sort of, like, a tribute, means of dealing, etc. to release the song.
And the lyrics were so relavent to that tragedy that people would never think it was actually written 7 or so years prior. Sad and ironic, but a very beautiful song (although a bit derivative, musically, to "Amazing Grace").

"All Those Years Ago" was about John. I think George wrote it shortly after John's murder. George also wrote "It's Johnny's Birthday" before John died in honour of his birthday.

<font size="2" face="Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif">Are you sure about that? All Things Must Pass has a 'song' with this tittle on the Jam Session part which was in honor of John's Birthday.

"It's Johnny's Birthday" is indeed on ATMP and in honour of John's birthday.

<font size="2" face="Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif">Yes, it was meant for Ringo's "Can't Fight Lightning" and had the basic recordings finished, including Ringo/George, having different lyrics, but Ringo rejected it so it was left.
