Yep, I got that one. "Everyday" was the first single, and it's a wonderful song.

That one was produced by Sheryl Crow, but written by Stevie. Great song also. The entire album is very solid pop music.

Maybe not the right place to discuss this, but do any of you (Allie, Boris?) know what the expression "Shangri-La" means? I know it has a meaning like "Cloud Nine", which is not the "literal" one that you can find in a dictionary. Help please.

Shangri-la is a made up word invented by James Hilton for his 1933 novel "Lost Horizon" about a hidden paradise deep in the Himalayan mountains. In terms of the word, "La" means mountain pass. So Shangri-La is the Shangri Mountain Pass.

It's a lot like John's Nutopia in that it attempts to ignore all national and regional boundaries and detach itself from human activities, existing in the perfection of "raw" nature. It has been the subject of many movies, and traditional Buddhists believe that Shangri-La, or true paradise, does actually exist but is only available to the most faithful devotee.
