Ugh. These tribute albums that don't even properly select John songs. I get so annoyed.

I remember when I found that Working Class Hero CD a few years ago, and I was like "Oh man, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Scott Weiland [in Magnificent Bastards], Mad Season, Cheap Trick and the unfairly underrated Candlebox, all doing John Lennon songs I love! This is gonna be awesome." And then I press play and the first thing I hear is Anthony Kiedis unintelligibly slurring the opening of "I Found Out," and it suddenly became not-so-awesome.

I do really like (surprisingly) Mary Chapin Carpenter's take on "Grow Old With Me," and I do think Mad Season kicked ass with "I Don't Wanna Be a Soldier" though.

That was my favorite song on that album to be honest.

It's pitiful. The sad thing is...John has so many frick'n songs. So many frick'n incredible, beautiful, amazing songs...and these people that organize these albums are nothing but a huge FAIL most of the time.

Angry I'm fed up with tribute-albums

Oh well, I'm not a fan of those never-ending tribute-albums either

It's really annoying... especially since I know that the "early takes" by George will come out, not mentioning the numerous new albums by Paul and Ringo... and John-fans only get those pityful tribute-albums

Yoko could really do some efforts and polish some of the unreleased demo-songs...

There is so much unreleased and never-heard stuff too! But remember, Snoopy, Yoko is apparently holding off on something huge for the next big anniversary so...have faith.

Oh fine, the next "big" anniversary is just in 8 years; Yoko will be over 80 years old then and of course, I'm not impatient at all...
