Hey lewd! It's eyes front for Macca at daughter Stella's cheeky catwalk show

There was plenty of flesh on show, but Paul McCartney was only interested in the fashion at Stella's catwalk show in Paris today.
The singer kept his eyes fixed firmly on his daughter's occasionally daring designs as he sat front row at the unveiling of her spring/summer 2009 collection
It was something of a family affair, with Stella's brother James and her husband Alasdhair Willis also showing their support while her three children joined her backstage.
There was more star power too in the form of Twiggy and her husband Leigh Lawson and singer Sharleen Spiteri.
Stella gave a nod to her A-list dad during the show, with the the models making their finale entrance to the 1970 Paul McCartney song, Maybe I’m Amazed.
The track is a favourite of the former Beatle, which he dedicated to his late wife, Linda.
Afterwards, a teary Sir Paul couldn't hide his pride and emotion, saying: 'It’s quite moving. The show was beautiful. She’s beautiful.'
Sasha Baron Cohen was also reported to be in the audience, again ruffling feathers as his character Bruno, the German fashionista.
Last week he stormed the catwalk in Milan but this time onlookers say he whooped and yelled from the second row.
Cohen is in Paris to continue filming a spoof documentary about the fashion industry.

what's with the holes in the neckline of Stella's t-shirt? (the big picture of Paul & Stella)

That's the problem with clothes like that. Regular people like us have no where to wear them. Also most of these clothes look like they are dry clean only. Not very practical.

That is so true. Where do fancy people wear them? Are there secret fancy people dress up parties?
The only one I can see even wearing to a fancy people party would be the lower right one.
I like her designs as 'wearable art' ...their ideas.. I like the low neckline of the pantsuit and the lines, but not the length? Too many Dexie Midnight Runner images. :D The lower left one, the flowing thingie is a little odd to me? The black sexy mummy is pretty cool.

I think the pantsuit would look nice if it wasn't so baggy and with a nice camisole under it. The others, I don't like very much.

Oooh, yeah... it'd be beautiful a little less baggy, you're right... I do really like the collar on it, how the lines follow along.

The lacy shawl thing would look nice over a tight sweater and nice slacks.

True! It has a very pashmina drape to it.
Stella is wearing my favorite look of all though. I love her plain white t and jacket, with her hair back that way. I am sure she wore this to be simple and not steal away from the designs, but she looks just gorgeous!

She sure is! She wears black and white very well!
Like Nancy said, lol, there are a few holes in her shirt but I kind of like it? (I'm weird)... Maybe it means my favorite holey sweatshirt from 1986 can be a winter fashion statement!

Bat makes a good point about runway fashion. They're bold and dramatic and are just for display on the runway, but try and wear them in regular settings such as work, school or social function and that just won't work.
It's nice to see Stella set and established in her profession. She seems to have found her niche. The name "Stella McCartney" is like the Midas touch on fashion wear - the expensive department stores carry her line and it is VERY expensive clothing.

I wear my favorite frayed things out too but to a high end fashion show, please how superficial and then charge outrageous amounts of money for her clothes, how about some reality priced clothes for real people, that would be nice!
Don't get me wrong, I am pleased Stella does what she likes for a living but what about the millions of real people out there?

Maybe Stella's trying to convey that she suffers for her fashion, eh?
I totally agree wtih what you said, Nanc. These fashions only cater to the elite and not to ordinary folks like us. Although, I wasn't much impressed with this collection too much. I appreared to me that she didn't try very hard. I've seen better come from her. That first suit/dress reminded me of Molly Ringwald's prom dress from Pretty In Pink for some reason. I think it was the angular shape.
