Penny Lane/Strawberry Fields Promo 7"

I have had this in my collection for some time and never questioned it's authenticity. But I did recently see some things that 's given me pause. I have what appears to be the asterisk mark in the out groove on both sides. But some experts are saying that there is a "star" on the counterfeits. What discerns a star from the asterisk?

But that aside, how many of the original promos were pressed? I read a number of 200. Which I can find no confirmation of. That seems like a very low number considering how somewhat regularly they appear on Ebay.

45-45871 F1 on the Penny Lane side and the same on the Strawberry Fields side with the exception of the number being 45870. You should also be able to see a little 'star' somewhere in the wax indicating that it was pressed at Capitol in Los Angeles. The 'star' could be faint but it should be there. Bootleggers didn't go through the trouble to replicate any of that.
