Yes, very nice. I think someday I'd like to get a nice old amp with a nice wavy kind of chorus-y reverb to it (I don't know how to describe it--kind of like Buddy Miller's sound if you are familiar with him). I haven't even plugged in my Telecaster for quite a few years, I just go along on a Yamaha acoustic. But I'm very impressed with the both of youze and your knowledge and love for your axes.

I had a Les Paul Custom many years ago (the One that Got Away!), and yeah... that baby weighed a ton! I got a Strat after that, and it was like a toothpick compared to the Les Paul.

I used to have a Fender Bassman Silverface head which I'd play thru a Marshall 4x10. It was the best sound I'd ever achieved. I have no need for a set-up like that at the moment. But next time I do, I am going to try and replicate that set-up.

When I was a kid and would have that Les Paul strapped on for awhile, my neck would really hurt--it weighed about 1/2 as much as I did back then. I had a friend with some nice Marshall amps and that Gibson/Marshall just seemed to be made for each other. I unfortunately never played out so I've always had small amps.

834, I think what you're describing is a basic tremolo system. Buddy Miller and Lucinda Williams guitars swim in it. My amps all have an on board tremolo but when I record and I use my SansAmp, I use this pedal. it's the absolute coolest trem pedal available. Pay no mind to the missing knobs. They were a victim of my teething lab pup. I replaced them.

Exactly! I was trying to think back to an article I saw on Buddy Miller's gear and couldn't think of the word, so thanks for that. What a great pedal and I'll keep that in mind next time I decide to do an upgrade of what lame-o stuff I have. I saw Buddy Miller a few times with Emmylou Harris/Patty Griffin/and Shawn Colvin--I love Shawn Colvin with all my heart. Anyways, he just kind of painted the background with that wonderful tone and it sounded so incredible. Thanks again Colonel!

Sorry, 62, I'm not going to derail your thread about gear but simply demonstrating to 8 what he's looking for. This is Patty Griffin and Doug Lancio doing a nice vox and tremolo guitar.

Thanks for that Colonel--love that nice tremelo/tone. Great song and pretty much exactly what I was talking about.

The tailpeice is a "Maestro" style tremelo tailpeice.

I could be wrong, but Robbie Krieger also played an SG with a similar configuration.

Thanks for the info. I'll try to find out if there is an easy way to get a guitar like that.
