Wow! Great set of drums!
In order to make the pic appear in the post you must click on that yellow button with mountains and a sun above the space where you write your message (both in advanced mode and in quick reply). Then you'll get a pop-up thing in which to copy or type the URL of the pic, and that's it.

Hey! I know you! At least I know who you are! Saw you play in Louisville both of the last two years - great band!!
Let me see if this works...it's my bass and my guitar. I bought the guitar in March and then I joined a band in April (playing bass) and I haven't had any time to learn to play it yet! But it LOOKS cool. LOL

That's Cool Rellevart!! We've also played a couple of times at the Beatlefests in Chicago.
Do you play with the Cavern Kittens?

Well to reactivate this thread I'll show you my favourite gear.
In the first picture you can see my bass-amplifier (Vox V125, Vox 1x18" Foundation Bass and Vox T-100 2x15" Foundation Bass) and my Höfner Beatle Bass "Cavern version"
And here's my guitar setup, an Epiphone Elitist Sheraton with a Vox AC-50 CP amp and a Vox V212BN cabinet, on the left you can see my Höfner bass and my Vox Bass cab again

Great guitars, and great amps! By the way, it's the first time I see a Cavern bass with the horizontal logo on the headstock. Which pickups has it got? I cannot see it in the pics. Are they the diamond type?

@ El Gos Coix
Yes It's a little "Frankenstein" Bass
It is one of the last normal Caverns made before the anniversery model came along, so its a late 2005.
The pickups are diamonds, yes.
The back is two piece and carved like on the '62/'63 versions (normal caverns have a one-piece flat back)
The neck is a three-piece '63 neck, so it has the horizontal logo and the dor marker in the 21st fret, but it has the '62 strip tuners on it.
A real "strange brew"
But it's my favourite Bass!
I've attached a few more detailed pics

A beauty! Does it rattle a little bit on the high frets?

Fortunately i have no problems with fret buzz, the bass sounds and plays like a dream!
I'll also make a few shots of my '75 Jazz Bass

Oh, what a gorgeous guitar! It's so shiny it makes one want to suck it as if it were a lollipop! (I'm kidding, of course, but it's shiny, isn't it?)

I had no idea... Wasn't there any anniversary model before 2005? When I bought my '62 reissue in 2003 I had a hard time deciding whether I wanted a '62 reissue or a Cavern reissue. So it must have existed by then!
Anyway, you're right, it's quite a Frankenstein bass! It sounds as a '63 bass with one feature from the '62 (strip tuners) and one from the Cavern (type and position of pickups).
A question, hasn't the '62 version a dot marker on the 21st fret? My reissue bass has got it.

Yes It's really shiny 'cos i clean it every week
I think mine is one of the last Cavern Reissues ever made, before the anniversery Model came along, so maybe there were no Cavern-necks and single-tuners left and they put together what was available or however
Yes the '63 should have a dot marker on the 21st fret, it's correct.
How about a few bigger shots of your Hofner?

Tempting... Here you are!
As you can see, it' s '62 reissue with all the regular features. Or that's what I think...

Really great!
I'd really like to have a Hofner with the normal pickup spacing, the Cavern sounds more "Hofnerish" but from the look and feel i like the normal ones more.
But well, now I have my Cavern and I think I'll have to save money for a second one '62 or '63 reissue
