1986
Virgin Video reports that Paul's home video "Rupert And The Frog Song" sells some 130,000 copies, making it the second most successful video ever released in the UK.

Paul performs in concert at the NEC International Arena, Birmingham ("Get Back Tour").

At the Museum of Modern Art in Oxford, Yoko's art exhibition "Have You Seen The Horizon Lately" is on display.

Two bronze busts worth £50,000 were stolen from a garden at George Harrison's estate in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire. Thieves had climbed a 10-foot wall and cut the figures of two monks from their stone plinths.

1998

Flaming Pie is nominated for "Best Album of 1997", eventually losing to Bob Dylan's Time Out Of Mind.

In Washington, D.C., an exhibition of Beatles photographs taken by Harry Benson is on display at the Govinda Gallery.

1999
In Tampa, Florida, the exhibition of Linda's pictures entitled "Sixties" is on display at the Tampa Museum of Art.

2000
A spokesman for Paul McCartney announced the former Beatles had donated more than $2 million to the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York and the Arizona Cancer Center in Tucson. McCartney's late wife, Linda, had received treatment at both places for the breast cancer that took her life in 1998.
