or taking a bath-Blackbird,
on the airplane(going home)-Two Of Us

Any Beatles song is great for any time. Just like one of their songs - "Any Time At All".

I think that Live At the BBC is the perfect thing to listen to when driving in the car for long periods of time. Especially in the summertime, it fits perfect. Other than that, it seems like there's a Beatles/solo song out there for whatever mood you're in or whatever you're feeling. The music's always there to pick you back up. <font size="2" face="Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif">I concur! Every summer we go on holiday and drive a lot and this one is definitely a favourite to listen to. Keeps you awake and alert too !
But really, any occasion is a good time for a Beatle song!

I definately agree but in a different sense. I was writing an essay, and had to sit for something like 7 hours in front of the computer...Live At the BBC is soo great to type to...As is all Beatle music I've found

Re: occasions for beatle songs...
You're right--Live at the BBC is a great one to play while working on the computer or driving in the car. I also liked listening to Let it Be on long car trips. For bathtime, I usually listen to the McCartney album--it's pretty low-key.
I know it's weird, but during certain weather, certain Beatles cds have more appeal than others. For instance, on a day like today here in Chicago (it's rainy and foggy and dark), I came home and the first CD I reached for is Rubber Soul. I don't know *why*, but I like listening to it on days like this!

Re: occasions for beatle songs...
First thing in the morning, I'll put on Revolver - mostly because of "Good Day Sunshine"! When I'm in the mood to write, I'll put on Magical Mystery Tour or Yellow Submarine because they're really imaginative and help me to write better, I think. Sometimes I feel like crying so I listen to Let It Be and I cry. And in the summer I really enjoy listening to Abbey Road - I think it's because it reminds me of a summer vacation I took where I listened to Abbey Road the entire time! Good ol' vacations...

Back in the USSR when I'm about to return to a place I haven't been in a while. In My Life when reflecting on the past. A Day In The Life when I want to relax and soak up the music. And Revolution 9 when I want to freak somebody out who has never heard the song before.

Re: occasions for beatle songs...
let it be is my favorite beatles song ever and i always use it to calm me down when i'm stressed and when i need strength to face a challenge.
i also listen to the more slow, sentimental songs when i'm in a certain mood, etc.... you know? there's a mood for every song and a song for every mood. (heehee, does that sound corny?)

Yes, The Beatles... songs for all seasons, moods and occasions... they pretty much cover everything... I really love 'Here Comes The Sun' whenever I finish essays, or there's something good on the horizon

<font size="2" face="Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif">LOL! I tried to do that to my brother once, and he ended up loving it just like me. He walks randomly saying "Number nine... number nine..." all the time in a horrible imitation of a British accent. It's just an added bonus that his name happens to be John. >_<;

Re: occasions for beatle songs...
At my school people are wary of how they talk around me because I'm prone to sudden outbursts of singing whenever someone says something that reminds me of a Beatles song.
No one ever asks me for "help" anymore. They are also careful not to use the expressions "let it be" or "it's only love." In my math class, no one ever has a problem with question "number 9," and if they do, they keep quiet. LOL! Once my friend made the deadly mistake of saying "the night before..."

Re: occasions for beatle songs...
While doing homework I like to listen to Abbey Road or Revolver. And when I'm just thinking I like to listen to In My Life and The Long and Winding Road.I love to listen to Beatles music ALL the time even while talking on the phone I'll have it blaring so loud I can't hear the person on the other end talk.
