Default Is it possible to dislike a Beatles song?

<font color="green"> First of all, I apologize in advance if this topic has already been started. If so, you can simply close it.

Anyway, I was thinking... Is it possible to dislike a Beatles song? In my personal opinion, yes. I love the lads, they are my life, their music brings light and happiness into my life, however, nothing is perfect. I mean, really. Unfortunately, there are a couple Beatle songs I dislike and some I do not perfer to listen to on a daily basis, just every once in a while. Be honest, and don't be afraid to admit it. I am sure you're not alone. At first, I was ashamed and it was hard to come to terms with but it's better to be honest to yourself and your fellow Beatle friends than to just lie, simply saying, "Ha! Are you serious? Never!" If so, what songs are they and why?

Of course it's possible to dislike a Beatles song. I don't feel like because they're my favorite band and I love 95% of their output that I "have" to love the other 5%. They didn't even love all their own songs themselves!

A few I don't particularly care fore are Michelle, 8 Days a Week, A Taste of Honey (oh soooooo flat) and Love You To.

Well you would have to add that part, lol. I wanted just to say YES.

Ok for one there have been a few that I disliked but now have a better appreciation for. However there still are a couple I don't like. I can't really eplain why but I will disclose them:
Tomorrow Never Knows
You Know My Name Look Up The Number
and I am sure a couple more that I just can't think of right now.

<font color="green"> Great! I don't feel as crappy now. I thought by posting this, I'd get trashed. Thank God I was wrong.

A few songs, just to mention a few, that I dislike are:
Wild Honey Pie (I explained a bit why in the thread)
You Know the Name (Look up The Number) - It just gets on my nerves! LOL
Rocky Raccoon (A bit Hillbillyish - LOL)
**I am sure there are others as well but I can't think of them right now. If I do, I will post them.**

One that I like but don't care that much for is The Ballad of John and Yoko!

Yeah there is one that sticks out in my mind.
I Want You (She's So Heavy), that song has always just rubbed me the wrong way.

<font color="green"> Yeah, that isn't one of their best ones. I don't care too much for 'Tell Me What You See' or 'I've Just Seen a Face', but I can tolerate them. But there are some, as I listed above (in my pervious post) that was ones I couldn't stand.

I used to dislike most of the songs on the 'Please, Please Me' album but I've grown to appreciate them more than before. It's just that they seem a bit akward to me, I suppose. But I LOVE Twist and Shout, Do You Want To Know A Secret, and Please Plase Me the best!

Yes, it's possible! I used to feel slightly guilty for disliking s few Beatles songs, but I've realized I was being unrealistic. I can't stand:
A Taste of Honey (I agree, it's flat, and the do-do-do-do's are irritating
What Goes On (the lead guitar rubs me the wrong way)
Yesterday (a touch overplayed and overpraised, to me)
Rocky Raccoon (Paul sounds so smug and pompous...and I hate the lyrics)
Maxwell's Silver Hammer (see above)
Those are all that come to mind. The only John solo song I dislike is Bless You.

<font color="green"> I really like the meaning and the lyrics to Give Peace A Chance and Power To The Peace but I don't really like the chords and the way they are sung for some reason. So I don't listen to them. *sigh* This is the first I actually admitted that in public.

Oh, yeah, I forgot I don't like Power to the People. I think it's the choir in the background, it makes it sound like it should be sung in a southern Baptist church, or something. I agree, the lyrics are important, but I guess there are 2 John solo songs I don't like. I do like Give Peace a Chance, though.

good choices! i mean, bad choices! uh, whatever....

yesterday--------this song has been played 50 MILLION TIMES
on the radio...if it comes on while i'm
driving, i switch stations so fast my
finger breaks the sound barrier!

i am the walrus-----i am not sure if i'm saying this right,
but i think i dislike this because it
sounds like it's primarily in a "minor"
key....it's unpleasant to my ears

Maybe it's just me and my naieve self, but I thought everyone liked it? Lol, guess not. Anyways, it's my all time favorite song ever!

But this thread isn't about favorite songs is it? Songs that I dislike are:
Why Don't We Do It In The Road?
I'm not too fond of the majority of the songs on Please Please Me, but I'll still listen to them
Devil In Her Heart
Hold Me Tight
Revolution 9 (if you could really call it a song)
I've never been too fond of The Long and Winding Road

So anyway, I guess I'll stop there, cuz I can't think of anything else.
