You've added quite a lot to this collection!
I was especially impressed to see the photo of Jackie I Will Skip Her Last Name. I've never seen a photo of her as an adult before. I recall that John wrote in one of his letters to Julia that Jackie was the one who "looks the most like Mummy." Of course, he was writing about how she looked over 30 years ago. I've also read that Jackie sadly shared some of John's challenges in overcoming heroin addiction. And in some of the letters in Hunter Davies' book it seems John obliquely referred to them, and expressed his desire to help.

Thank you, thank you for appreciating that fact! I was very excited (hence the brain fart) precisely because that is the first adult photo I can recall of seeing her.

I was really excited to finally see the adult Jackie! But that guy--the fan--what a crack up! He's like Zelig or something. He must be the Ultimate Fan!
Keep them coming...

Bobby Dykins with John's youngest sister, Jacqui:
Young Jacqui looks a lot like John, imo.

How awesome is this newly-released photo? Cousin Stanley took this picture of young John with Aunt Mater, Uncle Bert, and Cousins Liela, Michael, and David in Edinburgh. John is so John...

Hi all, sorry I've got to say "Scott Wheeler got it wrong" I don't know where that picture was taken but it wasn't Copperfield street. I lived in Copperfield street myself, No 55 and none of the houses had bay windows or front doors adjacent to their next door neighbours. All the houses in Copperfield street were a "one door one window" design, it depended on which side or half you lived in whether your door was on the left or right of your living room. I say which half because the street had a top and bottom half separated by Weller street.
Also, John from Liverpool sorry to correct you but those streets were demolished between 1981/83. I lived there until 81, not important but thought you might want to know.

Scott Wheeler got it wrong

This is the bottom of Copperfield st. taken in 1983. The three houses closest are numbers 35, 33 and 31 so the Lennon household was just two doors down. Makes me very sad looking at this pic, I loved living there in the 70's

TEN FACTOIDS ABOUT JOHN LENNON:
1. John was named when he was 1 month old. Julia wanted to wait until that Alf Lennon came on shore so he could be a part of the process.
2. John walked at 10 months.
3. John read at 4.
4. The Stanleys had 3 children who died in infancy prior to getting married.
5. John Lennon, an angry young man and especially so after Julia's untimely demise found a mother figure in Louise Harrison.
6. John was a terrible driver. Luckily John never drove a Honda.
7. Glasses were his least favorite thing to wear.
8. John was terrified of dentists.
9. John wanted to be fluent in Japanese.
10. John loved dogs.

Alf, aka "Good ol' Lennie" as his Liverpool mates knew him. He was rather handsome when he was younger.

Old Lennie. Lose the friggin' socks, mate. That is not a good look.

I see a little of John's smile in Alf... and, of course, the socks.

With sandals, yet.
Between sandals, socks at and the cap, that look has been taken to a whole new level.
I see both the Lennons and the Stanleys in John.
