Birthday. I just cannot stand Birthday! I'd rather hear my beagle bark!

Wild Honey Pie
Mr. Moonlight - that one doesn't work for me!
I don't like the title "Hold Me Tight" (those words make me wince), and I don't care for the lyrics, but I like the song.

Me neither, really. It's a nice sort of ballad, but I don't care for the French part of it. I nearly flunked French last year. Also, I find it sounds almost *too* sweet.

I always HATE it when they announce a Beatlesī song in the radio and then they go for "Obladi-Oblada" or -which is even worse- "When Iīm Sixty-Four".
When I hear that clarinet (or is it an oboe?! F**ing donīt care) I literally
And his voice leaves no doubt that Paulīs dead and itīs actually William Campbell singing this.
*Loka knows she doesnīt make friends with this*

Has anyone mentioned "Chains"? I skip that song on the Please Please Me album quicker than a lightning bolt!

Of course it's possible. Everyone has a right to their own opinion. Also some people like different styles of music than others.

Me on the other hand, I don't have too many Beatle songs that I dislike. However one of the songs that gets on my nerves is "Octopuses Garden." It doesn't sound like country rock to me, it sounds too country for my taste. I always skip that one.

In any case there is no such thing as a beatle song I dislike. Even if I scrape the bottom of the barrel and come up with when i got home or p.s i love you do the genius of the beatles is very much evident. I like their entire output. 100% of it. There is not a single note on a single beatle song that I dislike.
Heh, I so agree with you, man. Every Beatles song has something going for it. My least favorite is probably "Act Naturally", but even that is quite enjoyable. "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" is a masterpiece, IMO.

As great as the lads were (and they were), they did at times place "throw away songs" on their albums. Solely my opinion of course, but there is for example, "Why Don't We Do It In the Road", "I Wanna Be Your Man" (not so much the chorus but the verse's melody is a little too trite for such great writers), and Blue Jay Way. I swear, out of all of those years of productivity, I can't really think of anymore throwaways. Not bad for four unschooled musicians from Liverpool.

As much as I love the Beatles and 99% of their music, there are some songs of theirs that I skip over almost automatically...

Little Child --kind of obnoxious, especially the way John sings "I'm so sad and lonely..." It's just irritating
I Wanna Be Your Man--weak, even for a "Ringo song"
You Won't See Me --goes on way too long
The Word--no real melody to it
Within You Without You
Wild Honey Pie
Why Don't We Do It In The Road?

But that's about it.

I used to dislike Mr. Moonlight from Beatles For Sale, but I listened to it last night and now I can't get it out of my head. I keep singing out loud the opening intro where John bursts in with "MRRRR. MOON-LIGHT!" Even though they didn't compose the tune, now I think it's a great little ditty!

"Two of Us" never did anything for me, it is the definition of uninspired songwriting.
"Dr. Robert" is a song I never liked. It rocks, but it irritates me.
"The Word" is a poor song IMO.
"Baby You're a Rich Man" is one I skip.

There's a few more, but the good outweighs the bad by a ton.

I think you can adore an artist despite the fact you are not fond of everything they wrote. there are a lot of Fab Four and solo songs they could have left on the shelf in my opinion. I feel that way about many of the music artists I like. Nobody is going a craft a perfect song all the time.

don't really dislike any one song...but there are a few that get old before they get over.
