Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey sound effects question

Does anybody know how Paul actually got those sound effects just before the talking in the song?

The sound effects sound like frogs chirping, but I'm not sure if it really is just that, frogs chirping.

Does anybody know?

it's actually paul, trying to mimick a phone ringing.

But since it ended up sounding like a frog he decided to repeat the effects for the frog song.

Ah, I see. It would be cool if you could actually have a phone that looked like a frog that would ring like that.

I thought he was mimicking a toy motorboat.

it makes sense to be a phone because before that he says 'sure to get a ring' and then after that he sounds like he's on the phone.
