Does your guitar have a name?
Mine's called Dylan, it took my friend Craig and I 9 hours to come up with it at work, but it really suits him (the guitar, not Craig) He's a 1960s Hoffner, in the piccy on my website (scroll down, it's at the bottom):

I have two basses and neither one of them really have a name, though I do tend to call my favorite one "my baby". My big amp is named "Bruiser" though!

Whew! Glad I'm not the only one who names her instruments
My acoustic is Lucy, my electric is Sadie (three guess where I got those nanes ) My cello's name is JJ.
When I got my first cello, my teacher immediately told me to name it (I did; it was named Charlie). He said that naming the instrument helps you identify with it and become attached to it, thus improving your playing. I've named every instrument since

My electric guitar has a lot of names. I call it my baby, Big Red, and George.
My acoustic guitar is also my baby, and it goes by "David's guitar" because, my uncle used to play it...

My guitar is really trampy and not worth dignifying with a name. If I do get a new one I'll give it a name.

Actually, my boyfriend and I have named our guitars so that they complement each other... in a very Beatle-esque way: mine is named Molly and his is Desmond!!!

I've never really thought about giving my guitar names, although maybe I could name my Hofneresque bass Paul and my Gibsonesque electric George...
Then get a Rickenbacker and call it John.

When I first started playing, the names were unsavory and should not be repeated here.
That said, I still don't have a proper name, but my racing road bike's name is Whirlaway
Yeah, yeah, I know...that doesn't count....

Hehe I like the Desmond and Molly names, mags - very co-ordinated! My friend's guitar's called Nancy, his second was called SpongeBob Squaire Pants (well, that's how he pronounces it) and his first was called Arthur. What an odd order to list those in. Oh well!

I'm trying to come up with a name for dad's - it's a Gibson Les Paul, honeyburst finish, 1950s neck. any thoughts? I've called his acoustic Eric Clapton guitar Michael, but the electric needs a 'harder' name

I have a lot of names for my guitar, and my bass. But I ususally call my bass Paulie, because it is a replica of his. But I do have a name for my viola. I call it my ebay baby. Because I got it off ebay and I'm proud of it
