Default George Cartoon-not fot the easily offended

http://www.nationallampoon.com/MoDst...f_harrison.asp

I found this link on the abbeyrd website. It's either a funny or offensive cartoon depending on idea of taste, so you have been warned. Personally I don't know what to think of it.

It's a bit bizarre, to say the least

George meets John in the afterlife, meets the rest of the "band" and they perform La Vida Loca. George complains that it's garbage. John tells him he didn't make it to Heaven. George is shocked - what about my charity work? John tells him it was that Madonna movie that did him in. They play La Vida Loca again. Yoko comes on doing the weird sounds. George says what is Yoko doing here, she's not dead yet. John says that George isn't the only one in Hell.

The only bits I 'chuckled' at were...
a) The Introduction of Elvis
b) The Yoko bit (not that i hate her, and not when john said 'this isn't only your hell ya know'.)

I honestly don't know what to say about it. I've heard this website is known for being a bit flippant though

National Lampoon has done some weird things in the past, but this tops them all.

Black humour. George liked that. Remember the editor for Horse To The Water (2001, RIP Ltd)... maybe he'd fancy it.

Maybe not.

It was rather tasteless, with moments of silliness. I did like the line about giving up hamburgers, tho'.

Definitely tasteless, like those stealth hamburgers poor George allegedly gave up. Those digs at Yoko were over the top.

In 1974 the Righteous Brothers sang "Rock & Roll Heaven," but somehow I don't think this is quite what they meant.

Their are many things I didn't like about this tasteless joke. How can you make fun of the late greats in such a cynnical way? The song that they were singing, come on, R. Martin, that song horrible on it's own turf. The part that I really truly hate is the fact that they were saying that neither John nor George were in heaven. George was more spiritual then anyone, no more then in his songs that he made.
We all know at least George and John are in heaven. The Yoko part was funny, thats only because she has not passed. I don't see how anyone can make fun of something that brought great sadness to many people, but I guess that's the kind of world we live in, people don't care who they hurt just as long as they look good. Sorry, this post got a little more personal then I expected, I just didn't like the so called joke.

Guys, I think some of you are taking this way too seriously. If it offended you that much just think of it as being made by some sick idiots who didn't recognise the fabs' greatness. Come on, they made fun of Aaliyah, too. Seriously, I don't think it was very offensive. You should be happy it showed George as getting together with the greats, and having a laugh, certainly at Yoko, who you must admit is a bit laughable. The singing of R. Martin stuff just reminds you how bad he is, and shows how different modern crapness is. Sorry.
Just chill, if it offends you, just don't watch it again. I think George would have laughed. you have to realise that the B's weren't saints. for all we know, George may have not got into heaven. come on, he was unfaithful to Pattie, and you're not telling me God's a big fan of LSD. Just think about it. Anyway, we're all entitled to our own opinion and if they want to laugh, let them.
I'll still cry, even if I did laugh at some of it.

It was pretty funny I guess. It wasn't the best or anything and it was a bit crude but I did get a bit of a chuckle out of it.
