"Premium Rush" with Joseph Gordon Levitt. Great flick. You can't help but feel sorry for the cop on the bike but he's funny as hell too.

"Killers" w/Katherine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher, it was very funny, both of them had great deliveries and reactions to what was happening in the movie, I think Katherine was the better of the two, loved Katherine as Izzy on "Grey's Anatomy"!

"Bait". Great scary flick. People get trapped in an underground grocery store after a tsunami. The problem is, there are also 2 great white sharks swimming in the water around them. The only celeb I saw in the flick is the guy who played Victor Doom in "The Fantastic Four" and I don't even know his name.

Seen a couple of pretty good movies in the last few days.

"6 Bullets" with Jean Claude Van Damme. He plays a mercenary who rescues children that have been kidnapped by the Russian mob for prostitution. Excellent movie. One of the best movies Van Damme has done in quite some time.

"The Hunger Games". Thought it was going to be just another boring chick flick. Couldn't be further from the truth. Lot of action and a couple of odd twists in the story.

"Lawless" with Shia LeBoef. Movie based on true events in the U.S. during the prohibition era. Lots of action, a dastardly deputy who abuses his authority (and gets his just desserts) with a love story thrown in. Very good movie.

Finding Nemo. 3 Times. Takes me back somewhat to the summer of 2003 when I completely fell in love with it.

"Looper" with Joseph Gordon Levitt and Bruce Willis. Seemed a little strange at first but after a little while it all started to connect and near the end of the film, you end up getting one of those "AH-HA" moments. Highly recommend it.

All October I watch a bunch of horror films.

The Ring - My daughter wanted to see what the American version is like and it was OK. Not as scary as the Japanese version.

The Invisible Man - This classic was entertaining. I think the effects were impressive for the 1930's.

Frankenstein - This movie had disclaimer at the start warning people that it might be too scary. If only they could see how horror films evolved. I always feel sad for the monster during the famous scene with the little girl.

Bride Of Frankenstein - This one made me even more sad for the monster. He just wanted a friend but failed every time. Not even his bride wanted him around.

The Thing From Outer Space - This movie was based on short novel called "Who Goes There?". A group of scientists in the antarctic find an alien trapped in ice. It thaws out and terrorizes everyone. The John Carpenter remake "The Thing" is closer to the novel which I preferred even though it was gorier. Mostly because there is no token love story and there is a feeling of paranoia and isolation that the original movie lacked.

Ju-On - Japanese horror is different from western horror. Even their ghosts are different. They don't follow the same rules as western ghosts (if you think hiding under your bed sheets saves you, you're gravely mistaken). This movie is about a curse brought on by a vengeful ghost of a woman whose husband killed her, her son, his cat and himself. The murders took place in their home and bad things happen to whoever sets foot in the house. The ghosts of the woman and her son are very creepy and got under my skin. I have yet to see the American remake: The Grudge.

Ju-On 2 - This is the movie I was dumb enough to watch late at night. It scared me more than the first one. I'll never look at a wig the same way again and there is a disturbing birth scene this side of The Fly.

Night Of The Living Dead - I generally don't like zombie movie, but I watched this one because my cousin recommended it. It is the grandfather of modern day zombie movies. Before this movie came out zombies were primarily a voodoo thing. This movie gave us the zombies that ate human flesh and turned people into zombies if they bite them. What surprised me was that the main character was a black man and he was not the first to die.

Whatever Happened To Baby Jane? - This is about a two sisters who were actresses. One was a successful movie star, Blanche Hudson and the other was a washed up child actress of vaudeville, Baby Jane. Jane takes care of her older sister who was crippled by a car accident caused by Jane. Jane is bitter towards her sister's successful career and her bitterness turns to insanity.

Misery - "I'm your number one fan." This movie made this phrase frightening. Based on a Stephen King novel, this is about a romance novelist Phil Sheldon. He just finished his last novel starring the Victorian heroine "Misery Chastain". He was on his way home when he got in a car accident during a snow storm. A former nurse by the name of Annie Wilkes rescues him. She takes him to her farmhouse and nurses him back to life. Phil finds out she is a big fan of his novels and can't wait to read his latest book. But when she finds out he killed off her favorite character, things get worse from there. I think Kathy Bates did a great job with this role and she scared me when she was sweet and nice because she was a ticking time bomb about to go off.

Two actually:

"The Man With The Iron Fists": My friends that I've known since we were in middle school and I wanted to see this movie since it came out. Great movie. RZA KICKS ASS!

"Breaking Dawn: Part 2": My friend, who was going back to China, suggested we see it. Keep in mind, we're 26 and 27. We went opening day. There were moms, daughters and even guys who brought their girlfriends.

It was actually pretty good. Love how my friend and I were fake screaming for Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. I was the only one that cheered for Jackson Rathbone (Jasper).
