Re: Bob Dylan\'s anniversary
I saw something on the Belgium television about his 60th birthday, just showing some old footage, nothing special really. Don't know what the media in the rest of the world has but here in holland (This is mainly for FPSHOT,if he doesn't know already) there's going to be a program about Dylan later today, let's see what it has.
For FPSHOT 2 Vandaag at 18.15

Thanks Legs, Indeed you probably also saw the small items during the various News Programs on our 8 local channels, but that was pure average stuff.

Re: Bob Dylan\'s anniversary
Yeah, I saw some footage about that as well and it remindede me of a couple of bits they did on Saturday Night Live.
"This just in, just like The Who, Bob Dylan will be getting back together later this year..."
Or the one where they're trying to interview Bob but no one understands a word he's saying. So they bring in fellow Wilbury Tom Petty to "translate"...but no one can understand a word of Petty's "translation"...
The only George joke I've ever heard on SNL was that "a picture of George Harrison was bought for 100 000$ during an auction at Christie's yesterday. The high price can be explained by the fact that this is the only know picture where Harrison does NOT look hagar".
While I'm at it, from the same source: "Paul McCartney did his first ever on-line chat yesterday. He received a total of 4 million questions. Though we must point out that 2 million of those were by Ringo Starr".

I remember that skit very well. All the mumbling both did was too funny.

The SNL shows from the '70s and early '80s were the best. The cast it now has it rather lame in their presentations.

Re: Bob Dylan\'s anniversary
The first SNL show debuted in 1975, as a special. The network liked it and make it into a show with the "Original Not Ready For Prime Time Player." They were Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, Chevy Chase, Jane Curtain, Garrett Morris, Laraine Newman and Gilda Radner. In 1976, Bill Murray joined the cast.

Re: Bob Dylan\'s anniversary
ABCKO - That $100,000 might have been a cnady bar. (in US there's a c-bar named that)
FPSHOT - That quote by George "having played with other musistions" - I don't like to hear that. What is George saying about himself then?
