Best Boot Sources For the singles?

Hey gang. After digitally acquiring a GIANT stack of Ebbetts releases, I'm looking to make my own singles comp to replace my flat sounding Past Masters CD's. I was originally just going to use all Ebbetts sources (mostly from Rarities, UK Singles, and the Red and Blue albums), but I picked up some brief distortion on his "Ballad of John and Yoko" from 1967-70 (US) and didn't know whether that was present on the original master or if it was a rare lapse on the Doc's part, which then called the whole endeavor into question.

To clarify, I'm not actually looking to re-create Past Masters in it's entirety. I'm specifically looking for songs that were originally released as singles only (UK) and did not appear on the studio LP's, i.e. I don't need the German singles or the Let It Be singles that also appeared on the album. I would prefer mono for pre-White album material.

So, from the doc's releases (and I can find others if you feel strongly enough about it), what should I use?
