Carol Bedford: An Apple Scruff's Story
Greetings to everyone, nice to meet you.
Has anyone read this book? My husband bought it for me a few Christmas's ago and it was so good, evocative of a particular time, and showed a lot of Carol's personality.
I knew Carol slightly - quite well for a short period, about three years, while I worked in a hospital which she attended. She was very disabled with multiple sclerosis and extremely depressed a lot of the time though always witty and articulate. She was living in West London. I came across her telephone number two or three years ago and tried it, but it was dead. I can only assume from that that her ordeal is now over. It was pretty terrible.
I was so pleased to receive her book and I treasure it. You can still buy copies on Amazon. Well worth a read.

Ellie lent me this book (I still have it!!) and I have read most of it but still need to finish it. Yeah it is good and has some great stories and photos. The Apple Christmas Party - WOW what a story!
Might buy myself a copy so I can reunite Ellie with hers!
I am sad to read that she suffered with MS and depression.

Hey Lucy, I think I might be next in line for that book, After our Beer or 2 in the Pilgrim, Ellie and yourself guited me into reading a book, Don't know if you remeber the conversation, but I said I had only ever read 1 Beatles book and that was Hunter Davies and that was about 15 years ago.
Well I came home that night and spent many a sleepless night wondering "What sort of fan am I" lol.
Anyway Just finished my second Beatles related book, thanks to you and Ellie.
All My Loving, I sounds simular to the Carol Bedford one about fans hanging out in London, Beatle watching and so on, It sure shows Paul in a bad light Bet hey don't believe everything you read.
Take care Steve

I actually did a report on this book in the 7th grade! It was one of the first Beatle books I ever read. I tore out all of the pictures before returning it to the library, shhh

I got the book when it was first published. That's very sad to hear about her, MS is a horrible thing.

Oooh dear All My Loving is a shocker. I've got it and it is full mistakes and inaccuracies. And the story is pretty grim. If what she says is true, I understand why paul got as angry as he did.
and yeah steve - you're next!!!

I sure didn't cast Paul in a good light, but I still found it quite good and a easy read, good for a beginner like me
