No it's not silly at all and I take this very seriously and it really bothers me! There are as I said in my above posts a depressing large amount of mostly young people saying just terrible inaccurate ignorant hateful things about The Beatles and this really bothers me! If it was just a few people on one or two web sites that wouldn't really matter, but it's really sad and shocking how many there are! I wrote a long powerful post about this called,People Saying Totally Ignorant Myths About the Beatles on the Abbyrd site's Beatles forum. If you want to understand even better where I'm coming from please go there and read what I wrote and the supportive responses I got. Also, please read my new thread on here about what just one out of the 42 former Beatles haters who is now a big fan says!

It is silly to get so worked up over people (gasp!) disagreeing about the Beatles. Who really cares?
Honestly, if I wasn't a fan of the Beatles and I read your post, I would probably dislike the Beatles even more because some of their fans refuse to accept the reality that not everyone likes them.

Well you'd be surprised how many MORE young people actually do like the Beatles, and like Ringo_Rama said, theres bound to be a few potential fans who would get freaked out by these kinds of posts. Sometimes ignorance is bliss, (well a lot of times it is) you can't make every single person in the world like the beatles, and what a boring world that would be. Sure the hatred of the Beatles for no reason is dumb, but wh should that even upset you or take anything away from your enjoyment of The Beatles? Do you think John Paul George or Ringo care if they aren't liked by the entire planet? so why should we care what others thinnk as long as we ourselves are allowed to like what we like

The Other Crazy Thing is i Have Found Monkee Fans Who Hate The Beatles!
The other crazy thing is I found posts from people who love The Monkees but hate The Beatles and say they think they were much better! The *Monkees* a manufactured TV group of actors who were hired to play the role of rock stars on a TV show! And the TV show was modeled on The Beatles films A Hard Day's Night and Help! Go figure this one out!

They would get "freaked"out by "these" kinds of posts? I made great posts of people saying hateful inaccurate myths about them and hating them, that's what we should be freaked out about! I got a lot of support and understanding on Abbeyrd's Beatles forum and I hoped I would have gotten the same here!
I gave examples of 42 former Beatles haters I found on message boards and I explained they said they now know how stupid they were and they had heard a lot of ignorant garbage said about them! I also explained how I don't like classical music but I believe Beethoven was a brilliant composer and I would never be so ignorant to say Beethoven sucks!

No I don't think John Lennon would have cared if everyone didn't love The Beatles, but I'm sure he would be pissed off if he knew there were people hating them and saying they suck and saying totally ignorant inaccurate things about them like they were a manufactured pop boy band like NSYNC or The Back Street Boys! It would really have been news to him that he wasn't the founder and leader of a true *rock* band and it's an insult to his memory! Infact his ashes must be turning wherever they are from all this bullshit being said about them! He always said he just really loves rock n roll and all of The Beatles idols were the early rock pioneers Chuck Berry who John especially loved,Little Richard, Buddy Holly, and Elvis.

Yes. Imagine a person who just got into the Beatles when he heard "Let it Be" on the radio or something. They go here looking for more information on the group, and the first post they see is that. If I were that person, I wouldn't want to be associated with such an obsessive fanbase.

The Monkees are awesome.
You have a right to your opinions and I have a right to mine. But I don't even think Paul and Ringo agree with you when you make it a big deal that some people don't like the Beatles.

Thats another thing, just because 42, 420 or 4,200 former beatles haters changed, dosen't mean anything, if that person dosen't like the Beatles he's not gonna change his or her mind just because however many people did, It's still their decision to make. And only they can make it.And yes posts like these do freak some people out, even me sometime ago, was put off of the Doors because of certain fans , and wanted nothing to do with them, but over time I have become a fan myself and now love them. That was my decision to make, noone else. I was originally put off by these fans barging in telling me how great they were and how much I should like them, but I just ignored them, because those people seemed as if they were forcing me to agree with them. But I grew to like the Doors on my own, like i said. Now this might not happen to everybody, some people will still choose not to like the Beatles, and who are we to tell them any different? If 5,000,000 former Shania Twain haters told me how they have suddenly "saw the light" i will still not change my opinion. Music is not a law, it is a choice.

You disagree with my statements when I explained *AGAIN AND AGAIN* that I found that many people saying totally inaccurate ignorant myths about The Beatles and that these former Beatles haters explained that they had been told a lot of inaccurate garbage about The Beatles and they now say they are sorry they listened ! They now say they realize how stupid they were for hating them! I also said that I'm sure John Lennon wouldn't care if not everyone loved them, but I'm sure he would be really pissed off if he knew that, that many people were decsribing The Beatles as nothing but a crappy pop boy band like NSYNC or The Back Street Boys! I'm sure George would have been too,and Paul and Ringo would be also! I also said that I have never been a fan of The Beach Boys or classical music but I wouldn't be so ignorant to say,The Beach Boys suck Beethoven sucks!
Also, you liking The Monkees has NOTHING to do with what I said at all! I pointed out how crazy it is that some of these Beatles haters say they love The Monkees, a *true pop boy band* that was manufactured for a TV show and they were hired as actors to play the role of rock stars. They didn't even play their own instruments on their first several albums! And their TV show was modeled on The Beatles movies,A Hard Day's Night and Help! So it makes *no* sense for those Beatles haters to hate The Beatles and say they weren't good, but love The Monkees! That iis the point that you obviously don't get and don't have a very good grip on reality of!
I also saw a post on another message board from a *real* Beatles fan who said it's really sad that people are typing into their computers,I hate The Beatles!

You know it really sounds like you two are at the wrong board are you Beatles haters too in disguise? I pointed out that there were 42 former Beatles haters now big fans I found on message boards and that they say they hated them because they were told a lot of inaccurate ignorant garbage about them! And many had never even heard most of their music! Other guys said they didn't like and appreciate them until they were in their 30's! It just goes to show how great The Beatles really are that *even* these former haters became big fans! You don't usually go from hating something to loving them and becoming fans! I'm just really glad those people came around on their own and recognized their ignorance and are now big fans! I'm sure there will be more since I just found 2 more on web sites!

Another point, if a person came here and had inaccurate ignorant myths about The Beatles they would hopefully have them debunked by my informative posts and others on here! Certainly not from *your* posts though!

Wow!! How have I missed this topic! I think it's taking things a bit too serious and I gave up reading a little bit as it became repetitive. So what if people hate the Beatles? I can think of many bands I could never sit and listen to although hate is a very strong word to use about music. So what if people think the Monkees or Backstreet Boys are better? To some people they will be and thats great!

You think it's great that anyone would seriously compare The Beatles to and like true manufactured pop boy bands better than The Beatles? What kind of "fans" are you and do you three have an IQ of 1???? So what if people hate The Beatles????!!!! What the hell kind of "fan" says this? If you really love their music and when you listen to it you can understand anyone hating it? I really can't at all! And I can't understand any of you at all either! I have read posts elswhere from *true* fans who are saying exactly what I'm saying and they can't understand people not liking The Beatles either! I came on this topic to try and debunk these ignorant haters too, and I provided plenty of good strong information that does that! I'm getting tired of arguing with ignormauses like you and I'm really sorry I came on a board with such hypocritical fake "fans" as you! At least I truly love The Beatles tremendously and I can't understand anyone hating them!

First of all if you have to resort to pathetic little remarks to defend your arguments then you are the one with the IQ of 1, not me. Also if you have nothing better to do with your life than slag people off who don't agree with your opinion then, yes you are in the wrong place.
I believe I am fairly open minded and what harm does it do to you that people like different bands? Do they tie you to a chair and force you to listen to them? Do they play their music through your letterbox in the middle of the night? Just ignore the other bands if you must and get a life
Oh and learn to post without putting up loads of the same topic!

You sound alittle obsessed and its not healthy, in fact I think you are damn right scary, there is so much hate and venom in you, there must be an under lying reason maybe, obviously the Beatles preaching of love and tollerance has gone over your head. Are you really a Beatles fan? I don't think so.
There are filthy wars being faught, there are people being bombed, the are children dying in droves, whole continents being destroyed and all you can worry about is that some people don't like the Beatles.
It is very sad

I agree fully with you, Sally... fab4, sorry but what you've written up so far is really starting to sound very obsessive and troubling. It sounds like YOU intensely hate those who hate the Beatles, but I don't see why. Yes, I know you've explained your views numerous times. But it is my right to disagree with you, and I do.
Of course I am disappointed when I hear people hate the Beatles, and start to make up things about them. I do try to correct anyone who I hear saying things like that, but obviously I'm not going to be able to make 6 billion people in the world "see the light" and become fans. People are going to make up their own opinions and there's nothing I can do to stop them, nor do I really have the right to do that. People ARE entitled to their own beliefs.
I'm always happy when I'm able to change one or two people's mind about the Beatles music and help them become a fan, but I know there's a lot in the world who will never change and that's ok with me. That's what makes everyone different.
Maybe you should go back and read some of your posts over and think about what you're saying... do you believe you're being reasonable?
