Walmart sells firearms (or did sell them at one time), yet they'd refuse to sell a Nirvana CD because it was "harmful" to the youth of America. LOL!!!!
Yeah, those two Columbine kids made a real mess flinging all those compact discs around those classrooms!
Sorry... little off-topic... whatever the topic was!

You can't spell ASSume without ASS!
Anyone can spit out facts and site their resources, but it doesn't mean that they are knowledgeable on the matter... know what I mean?

First, guns don't kill people - people kill people. Guns, in and of themselves, are not evil.
Also, to be fair, the two kids from Columbine did not acquire their weapons from Walmart. Too bad though that the teachers who worked there were probably not allowed to carry a firearm at the school or this could have been prevented or at least the loss of "innocent" life could have been less than it was.

Yes, I know... "people kill people". But admit it - guns just make it a lot easier to do the job. Imagine Justin Kleebold and the other whack-job attempting to carry out what they did with baseball bats or Ninja stars.
I am aware that they didn't get their guns from Walmart. I was just making an interesting observation about how a store could sell firearms but not a compact disc.
Curious.... why did you put the word innocent in quotes?

For all intents and purposes of the discussion, the word innocent means that no one who was killed there was guilty of anything that warranted their death at the hands of Harris and Klebold (sp).
I just generally don't classify anybody as "innocent" in the broad sense of the term because we are none perfect and do not always perform good deeds with wholesome intentions. That however has little to nothing to do with the conversation

Ok, then. If my memory serves me, the kids who were targeted and singled-out were like Jocks and "popular" kids.... and that the two killers felt stigmatized and disenfranchised by these types of kids.... and I was hoping that you didn't think these kids were in any way deserving of the deaths that befell them. Phew!
Anyway... I am not in favor of banning things and censorship, etc. of anything. I just don't understand why semi-automatic assault weapons and the like need to be owned by anyone(!).
Ok, I know this is way off topic. So I am done..... and I'm done with the actual topic, as well.

This intended for me? Another poke. That's 2 in a row. You would have no way of knowing one way or the other whether I was knowledgeable on the subject. Attacking credible sources of information a novel & unique form of invalidation I must say. As regards subjects like Cancer, one has little recourse than to defer to experts. As to experience, I've plenty. Worked for Gay decorators for years in West Hollywood & surrounding area.
Better to actually find out/determine whether a person actually is Un-knowledgeable before ASSUMING as much & issuing an inference to that end. Laugh 6.
Kids were experiencing withdrawal symptoms from Psychiatric drugs at Columbine. All playground shootings thus far have involved these drugs. Few make the connection.
18-year-old Eric Harris was on the antidepressant Luvox when he and his partner Dylan Klebold killed 12 classmates and a teacher and wounded 26 others before taking their own lives. The coroner confirmed that the antidepressant was in his system through toxicology reports. http://noprozac.blogspot.com/2007/10...-involved.html

Wow! A topic about anal sex and guns! Wonder how I have missed out on all the fun?!
Btw, elephantshampoo... did/do you go to Eagle Rock High? I knew a teacher there... and I used to live in West Hollywood. You in SoCal?
[For the record, I'm very much for teaching kids honestly about sexual practices and also very much for gun control. People with guns kill people!]
Peace
