Default Little things to be proud of

It is very important to find things in your life you are proud of. There are the major ones such as your children, marriage, and career advancements. But what little things make you proud.

For me, I am proud of the fact that I have been a driver for almost thirty years with only one ticket and zero accidents

Me too, except I did have one accident, but it was 100% the other guy's fault!

I'm proud of the fact that I decided to learn to play bass 2 years ago and I've stuck with it and practiced faithfully and I've gotten to the point where I don't suck!

I'm also proud of the fact that I've been moderately successful in supressing my normal reticence and making a lot of new casual friends over the last couple years.

I am proud I had the courage to set off travelling to many many places at young age alone, and especially proud I made it around India with my partner for a year without too many scrapes.

I am proud that I made it to Boise and back on a plane.

I am also proud of all of the 'Icon challenges' I've placed on Live Journal.

Cool

I'm proud of that little excerpt of a story of mine which was published in a book. Although I'm not proud of the text itself, it's still a nice sensation to be published, and even more when you're not a writer whatsoever, but only an amateur person who writes from time to time.

I'm proud I didn't throw up when I swallowed a fly this afternoon.

My only real claim to non-suckiness is the fact that I played Jo March in Little Women, and was told I did very well.

And (from what I've been told) I have a decent voice.

I'm proud of the fact that when I start something, I nearly always stick with it until the end. Ok, so sometimes it takes me forever to actually get around to starting it in the first place, but that's for another thread.

I proud that I have traveled by myself to Dallas, Wink (middle of no man's land) TX, Akron, OH to meet with fellow fans and friends who love ROY ORBISON - been married almost 35 years and never went anywhere by myself, my husband and I love baseball, softball, our grandchildren and other things, but he can take or leave my love of Roy, so several trips he's stayed home...........and I've flown alone..............

I'm proud that I let my daughter play next door with her new friends who just moved in. Mostly the neighborhood kids ALL play at our house...

OKay, so I suddenly had inspiration to plant the garden next to our house on their side ... until dinnertime . But I still let her go and it was hard to do since I barely knew them.

I'm proud of being a vegetarian. And I'm proud that I make time pretty much everyday to meditate

I'm proud of the way I turned out. I've had to overcome some difficult obstacles in my life (including some I'm still having to deal with). All about me there's guys my age going out on the booze up every night getting drunk or high on drugs and I'm one of the few who thinks that doing such a thing isn't cool.

I also like having an older head on me and such am cynical about todays youth :-D

I'm proud that I dont have a boyfriend...and dont care much about having one. All the gals at my school always tell me how much the depritely need one. Sure, it'd be nice to have one- but it'd be a bit distracting for me.

I'm kind of proud that many of the people I've trained at work, who don't need my help anymore to do their job and so could easily forget about me back in my Training Room, regularly come back to visit me and keep me informed of their work and lives.

I'm proud I won the mock trial in my Civics class back in high school. In the teacher's other two classes, the defense won 12 to 0, but in my class, the prosecution (me!) won 7 to 5. I worked really hard on my case and it payed off. In fact, the guy who played the defense was so angry he lost, he wouldn't speak to me for the rest of the day!
